First of all I think I might just mention I'm half way through a swine flu fever, and so this review will lack the grammar and vocabulary needed to even be a proper review, but I'm feeling spontaneous. That’s right, I'll blame the fever.

I'm sure (make that certain, I see the numbers up there!) that you get these reviews all the time, but why not? I'll toss mine on the pile. Huh, already can't think of a word. It is incredible! I have never read anything before that has grabbed my attention like this story here, I even put my half-read novel back on the bedside for this, I assure you, that's an impressive feat to accomplish! Actually, I read the first chapter of this masterpiece absolute ages ago, but I foolishly forgot to add it to favorites or save a link. I thought it was lost in the archive!

Finding this again was like aimlessly kicking a nice big rock and realizing you found a rather pretty gem. Thrilling. I love it! Absolutely adore it! Unlike other fan-fictions, this one just grabs you and raises eyebrows if you manage to entertain the thought of making a coffee. The amount of work you must have put into this is shocking. I apologize for rambling at you, but just… WOW! You even have the characters perfect, and I mean perfect! Every single reaction, every sentence, it is flawless with the way they are presented in Tolkien’s works. The ability to do that is something that simple fan-girls like me can only daydream about pulling off.

And I noticed the cliffhangers. ‘Okay, I’m sick, I’m tired, maybe I should go to- …Oh, I have to read this next chapter. That’s it though. Only one more chapter’, one chapter later: ‘Okay, I’ll just hit next and see what happens, after that I’ll stop…’ You’re having far too much fun with them!

You authors and your easy brainwashing of the masses! It’s incredible and I’m completely caught. Oh! Squeaky! I love that cat! Your character’s are all incredibly real and fit right in with both the story and are perfectly acceptable for canon style writing. Nothing is out of place at all and I think this story just won it’s little position in the ‘timeline of unknown actions of the ranger and elf’. Honestly, it’s so well set up and researched that it could fit in as fact if you wanted it to. My mind’s working overtime to try and link up all of these hints and figure out what’s going to happen next – can’t be helping my health!

Okay, I’ve had my rant. You’re awesome, the story’s brilliant and just made my day. (You have no idea how long I’ve been looking for this!) If you were bothered to read this, I’m sorry again for the probably regurgitated ramble. Great job! I’ll be chasing down anything else by you once I’ve finished this. Just brilliant! {Sorry about the lack of critique, I'm not going to think about searching for problems in something that looks like it belongs on the world's best seller shelf.)

Oh my god! That was hilarious! I had to bite my hand to keep myself from laughing loud enough to bring in my parents! That would have been bad, since I'm not technically allowed on this site... Your story is exellent, and I have loved every chapter of it!

This story is clearly on of the best LotR fanfictions I've read in my opinion. I was hooked after the third chapter and could hardly stop reading it. Plot is great as are the characters and this fic pleased me in every way. I really hope you will someday continue it (and even finish it).

this was such an amazing story and so wonderfully written. all the descriptions were so good and the plot thrilling, sad and funny at the same time.
this has just become my favourite story, i absolutely loved it and will definately have to read it again - and anxiously await more chapters.

Oh, my. *is speechless* I've just gone and read this entire, delightful story through in one sitting, and now I'm rather looking forward to more. This really is fantastic, you know that? It's a great story, just considering plot and inventiveness (there are all these mysteries that I want to have the answers for!) but what I particularly enjoy are your characters, whether Tolkien's or your originals. You take great care with them, and it shows, because everyone is just the way they should be, considering the circumstances. And the relationship you show between Aragorn and Legolas is just spectacular- you've managed to give them a strong friendship without it being anything but that. Legolas' blindness adds much to the story-line (though I doubt it's very welcome to him) and that leads to yet another thing I must compliment you on. Bad things happen to the characters here, but nothing seems gratuitous. If there is one thing that severely disrupts my reading pleasure it's gratuitous violence/torture. But here everything has its purpose, its place. And there's so much I still need to know!

So, fantastic work so far and I hope to see more in the future!

My friend Emma, also a Norwegian and Legolas-addict, advised me to read this, and I am sincerely glad I did follow the link. Please continue writing and updating! This has been my first serious LotR-read, and it blew me away. I look forward to seeing more of this story.
