That was one delightful yarn! And one of the better accounts I've read, of Jack impersonating a cleric.

Read, now or if possible sooner, 'The Pyrates' by George MacDonald Fraser. Much therein on Calico Jack, Anne Bonney, pirates with almost as much style as Jack Sparrow and exceptionally entertaining villains. Just do it. You rock BTW, Jack rules and KUTGW.

I do like your Jack's voice: it keeps to the character, even when you've given it something out of period to say. As for the minor characters, I can't help but enjoy your sticking to descriptive rubrics instead of giving them names, histories, and mailing addresses.

Loved it to the last word! The end about throwing Tell-tale overboard- life expectancy- good stuff. Jack's plan to get his hat back was all Jack. Liked the bit of pity for the hat thief too. Brilliant story, it was my joy and honor to read it.

Nice work, writing in Calico Jack. Agree with Jack's assessment of him. Pretty sad, as pirates go. Have read that one man did fight alongside Anne and Mary- darned if I can find a name for him, though.
