Oh, I loved this. Tonks wanting to be brave and fight back, Bellatrix, the Mauraders, even Wormtail was nicely depicting as something more realistic and better than a miserable coward.

Aw... what a brilliant, sweet fic. It's nice to see that Dora is so well-loved and protected (and her and REmus were so CUTE!) Peter's role was really well-handled, that he was a DE, but still not willing to let a little girl get hurt... woonderfully written!

Oh my gosh. Oh. My. Gosh.
First off, I loved this. I loved your characterizations of Sirius and Remus and Peter and Andromeda and Ted. I loved the way Dora talked--just like a little girl would. And I loved the way Ted and Andromeda spelt things out and how Tonks was going to look it up in the dictionary. And I loved, loved, loved your Peter. He was adorable and wonderful and, okay, yeah, he's still an evil little rat, but he's a HUMAN evil little rat who, at one point, could have been worthy of being a Marauder.
Just fantastic. And I totally loved that twist at the end. Awesome, totally amazing job. :-D

Oh, this was just so cute. Great job with Dora's POV. It was great, considering it was coming from her so young. Very cute, and I loved seeing a semi-good Wormtail. He had to have some good in him, since he was their friend, right? Not that I like him, or anything. But it was still a nice change of pace. Great style, and good mechanics. I really liked it! Great job.

I love how you wrote this. The characters are believable and their behavior's interesting. The ending of this piece is perfect. So Peter does have a conscience... Nice.

Wow, this has so many layers to it. I love it. First of all, the idea of the doll army is adorable. I can just imagine a 5-year-old Tonks leading her dolls in battle against the Marauders. The idea of Sirius, Remus, and Peter being role model "grown-ups" for Tonks is hilarious! I loved the idea of the "halfth" birthday parties. I used to have those too, but never with half a cake/candles, and especially half presents!

Going more indepth, I really like how you talked about Andromeda's fears of the war coming into her daughter's life. It was interesting to hear Sirius and Andromeda talk about what they had shared growing up as a white sheep in the Black family (couldn't resist!). I share the same gun/fighting phobia that Andromeda does and could really relate to her.

I also thought it was a good choice to leave James out of the story. If he is there then he tends to take over the scenes. This is really about Tonks, Sirius, and Andromeda.

The best part though is what we find out at the end. Sirius has given Tonks a doll army to help her feel safe and Remus has given her a doll with her special skill. But Peter has given Tonks the best gift of all. Protection from Bellatrix and any other Death Eaters who have designs on harming her. It makes me think a little bit more about Peter and his motives. So many people characterize him as being an evil little minion (I do it too in my fict), but you've added some depth to him here.

" - LOL, I can't manage for much longer than that either, and I technically am one: complete with my own flat, own car (insurance for both) AND a pension fund!
"She would have to look it up in Daddy's dictionary later." - I did that a lot, too, when I was that age.
"(both Barbies, though Mummy had used magic to flatten their feet and make them be shaped "like real girls," whatever that meant)," - Well done, Andromeda!
"He found a bunch of boy dolls, most of which had clothes on (though one was wearing Barbie's long blue dress, which didn't fasten in the back because he was the wrong shape)." - LOL
"Anyway, he'll be my squad leader. He's got a little sword and everything." "Mr. Pettigrew's a bit insecure about his little sword," Sirius whispered loudly." - LOL
"But there was one, an old one that had belonged to Daddy's sister, whose legs didn't bend at all. She was just walking on her scissor-legs instead of marching. She had kind of hooded eyes, and her hair was long and dark." - It sounds to me like this doll was made in Bellatrix Lestrange's likeness.
"Mr. Pettigrew nodded solemnly. "No one comes for you, Dora," he said. His voice was stronger than it had been before. "You have my promise on that."" - Liar, liar, pants with little sword and all on fire!
"Dora carefully folded all the doll cloths and put them in the little box that Mummy had made to look like a school trunk." - AW, I want boxes like that for my dolls' clothes, too! Right now all they have are my card board suitcases from nursery school!
"Mr. Pettigrew was standing nervously in the middle of the hall, fidgeting with the sleeves of his robe. He kept looking over at the kitchen door like a monster was going to jump out of it." - One is! She's called Nymphadora Tonks's angry mom!
I especially like the dolls that patrol for monsters under the bed.
