Really great fic! I love how Norrington eventually becomes "Uncle Bloody!" It's an incredible, not to mention incredibly believable fic. I just wonder how likely it is that he'll really manage to settle down properly like he promised Gilette he would. Great work!

I love your style. You manage to balance every single SENTENCE on a knife's edge then perform a clean cut. It's like Norrie with a sword. *DIES* Plus, I really truly madly deeply love everything about Admire-al Dashing aka Mr James Norrington - oh, no way you could have deciphered that from the previous sentence - AND am now thoroughly convinced you have character eye, after reading all your little sideline notes about Jack.

Very, very funny. The crew's game of "hoist-the-colours" is especially amusing considering the events of the third movie. I admit that the first time I saw it I had much difficulty not laughing when the pirates started singing, for I was involuntarily reminded of that chapter, particularly Jack's euphemisms and Norrington's reaction. You have some great one-liners and humor and did a splendiferous job capturing their relationship. So much more interesting than a cliche slash interpretation. I seriously quote this story to my friends. Dorky much?

Somehow you've taken a plot that sounded quite improbable to me at first, and made me fall in love with it. Oh, if only Norrington had gone pirate in the last movie, because that suddenly sounds quite fun.
