rn 12/27/12 . chapter 1 I read this story a long time ago and was searching for it for quite a while. glad to have found it again :) |
Proffesionalfangirl 11/5/11 . chapter 13Remy's an omega! I LOVE YOU! :''D |
selina 1/18/09 . chapter 13 No no no no no no. Remy cannot die. He better not be dead. He is an X-Men and X-Men sacrifices but Remy just can't die. Your interweaving the past with the present was brilliant. Every scene fit so perfectly with what was happening in the past, and it made things that more tense and on the edge of your seat. You are a very talented writer, and his was magnificent. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 10 And in the empty war room of the X-Men’s mansion, Remy LeBeau shivered. I love the way you are able to end chapter on such ominous and suspenseful sentences. I am so glad that the X-Men are going with Remy. He has had to fight alone for so long that he forgets he has people who are willing to stand by him only if he would allow them to. I thought the whole standing in his way thing was very nice. There was a very easily low blow that Remy could have went for when Rogue was standing in his way talking about how the X-Men stand together. He could have hit her with Antarctica and I'm glad that he didn't. To me it shows a sense of Remy healing. Great work. I can't wait for them to encounter Sini. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 9 Again you have left me shaking in my boots. Sinister is just scary, and you have captured that forbidding scariness so very well. Now I just want to know what he is waiting to do with them exactly, especially with my boy Remy who can't seem to catch a break. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 8 From bad to just worse and worse. Sinister and now the Shadow King. The life of X-Men, just one thing after another after another. I am not sure how I feel about them going after Sinister, I foresee bad results from it. I hope the powers coming back means Storm, Marrow, and the others are alright. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 7 *sniffles* Storm cannot die. Remy needs her too much for that to happen. She truly does stick by him through many tribulations, and has always been such a good friend. She can't die. It seems like things just go from bad to worse for our boy. The raw emotion in the scenes with Remy talking to Sara and Storm had me tearing up a bit. You have wonderful skills with getting some many emotions and thoughts out to readers. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 6 Again what is going on! What is Sinister (the most creepy of dudes to me) up to? You are brilliant with the suspense you are building in me. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 5 Holy hight water what is going on? Who is behind OZT? What does Sinister have to do with it all? And why do I get the strange feeling that Rogue absorbed him? I hope these are all answered as I read more. Such a wonderful and complex fic you have woven here. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 4 Rogue got off way too easily to me. The whole she absorbed his psyche excuse the writers gave was a cop out to me. How many times have we see her fight off psyche's where were the eyes and accent if that were so... "And then there was the anger. The mistrust. The resentment. Couldn’t she have fought his self-hate? Couldn’t she have controlled it? And deep in his heart, somewhere safe and secure, he knew he still blamed her. And he knew that she would have to earn his trust, that she would have to prove herself before he ever give her his heart, vulnerable and unguarded, again. But that was deep down inside, buried under layers of walls, leaving the surface for quiet joy." This is exactly how I fell about it. Poor Rems and his demons he can never get past, and what was up with Rogue having red eyes that turned back to green. I do believe she absorbed Sinister. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 3 *cries right along with Storm* Remy can't leave. He's like frikkin Robin Hood and all those damaged heroes. He doesn't walk a straight and narrow path but he hasn't exactly fallen off the road either. I love how well you wrote Gambit despair with himself about past sins and whither he can redeem himself from them, or even feel that he deserves redemption and forgiveness. These are the same things that plague him in the comics and you do a great job of showing that. Me thinks Rogue absorbed Sinister. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 2 How much do I love Storm right now...a lot..she gets it...she really gets it. I think they all have a right to feel betrayed and hut and blah blah, but they all should be able to get over it, and move on because they have all at one point or another done something the same or much worse. Those who live in glass houses should not cast stones, especially Rogue. He did something terrible, but so did they with abandoning him. I loved Sara's reaction to Gambit. Although he did spare her life...he took everything from her and I understand her need for vengeance. I just hope the two of them communicate and come to some sort of understanding of the events from both POV. Brilliant writing. I love how some characters are torn as to how to react to Remy being back, especially Hank's. I am also very happy that Wolvie is kinda on Remy's side. I can't wait to they get to Sinister's base and what they will find there. |
selina 1/17/09 . chapter 1 I really like the opening dream with Remy in Antarctica. It was written so well that I felt that I was right there with him in the freezing cold, abandoned and left to die. I thought you also did a really good job of bringing out his feelings of anguish, exile, and despair...like when he was fading out. You have really good writing skill with good details. Remy is always there for Rogue and I like that despite what she did to him he still cares enough to help. I think all the X-Men owe him big and have a lot of explaining to do for everything that went on. I can't wait to see how they all react to his temporary comeback. |
Emryalx 1/27/08 . chapter 13Holy weroiwer! Man, this was amazing. I especially like the end even though it was sad. I'm still in shock though so I'm quite speechless right now. -runs off to read sequel- |
atzlanit 7/23/05 . chapter 13 *sputter sputter sputter* excellent fic-just plain brilliant.. the ending was ... The best part was the note before the last chapter telling of the sequel :) |
