Intersting concept that Max wouldn't want to take Logan's success away by helping him too much. Although she's bored I'm glad Max isn't taking the missing nemesis too seriously. Life does go on. There is stuff to do. Even if it is just laundry.

I just read this for the first time. What a lovely little piece; I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I liked this, and not just because it echoes my own views on Max's need for a worthy adversary (the title caught my eye for that reason!). Clean writing and a nice ending-it's tough to end thought-rambles convincingly. Only one question: why, exactly, would her helping Logan diminish his success? And diminish it in whose eyes-his, or his public's? If the public's, they'll (probably) never know who he is anyway... That was the only part that didn't quite ring true. I liked the stuff about Lydecker especially, though. Anyway, well-written and a good read!

This was one of the first stories I read here at fanfic, and definitely the one that hooked me for good. Short, but complete, and a delightful look into Max's mind.

Funny, but a bit sad too. Reminds me of the Evil!Zack fics that cropped up before he showed up on screen. . . . Kudos. :D

Wow, somehow you wrote my biggest fault with the entire series after just watching the pilot. Anyway, I'm not used to something this short from you. Usually, you need to write at least a hundred pages. But it was pretty good. Not fantastic, because it's not the end of Le Bon Temps Roule, but still good...
