This is pretty neat - well-written, and not an idea I've come across before, let alone so often it's become stale. I like Mort having an actual personality beyond "henchman," you don't see that very often. And it strikes me that a lot of the mutants I've heard about or seen in the movies have some natural advantages that'd help with the whole defending yourself (and maybe others) against nasties gig. Maybe the human race is finally evolving to cope with the fact that we seem to be on the bottom rung of the supernatural food chain? It's an interesting idea, no? Update soon!

Mm that's weird. Maybe I should read more carefully. I thought Mort already knew Faith's life story, ei. she got stabbed, fell backwards, about Buffy, etc.

great point-I've often thought that maybe Faith flatlined briefly & that's why the council didn't kill her while she in a coma ie they had a new slayer to work with...it also explains why, when Buffy 'quit', they didn't come after her to force her back in- AND it would explain why in season 7, Quentin was all "the girl knows nothing!" & refusing to help her with the 'bringers...he had a slayer of his own...

There's probably a story in there somewhere...

I was wondering if I could commission you to write a story about the Venom symbiote (see wikipedia org for details)seperating itself from Eddie Brock and bonding with a MUTANT who eventually joins the X-Men. There are a lot of unappreciated characters that most people dismiss because their abilities are deemed to be useless in combat or are not powerful enough when compared to others.

The symbiote isn't evil, just the host. Besides, Professor X could easily help suppress any violent urges.

Also, would bonding with a symbiote give someone immunity or resistance to Rogue's power? I'm a big ROGUE fan who thinks she can do a lot better than Gambit.
