I always enjoy reading other peoples takes on characters and how they feel the plots should be going. Keep it up, its good stuff.

Wow, well over a year? What an effort! It took me a while to get through it, I'll admit - or I would have reviewed earlier - but I really enjoyed it.

I found your characterization of Renee to be interesting and plausible, and the revelation that she had a daughter was surprising. Makes me wonder how *that* came to be. ;) I liked how you explored her weaknesses, including her self-confidence to the extreme of not listening when she thinks she's being condescended to - not smart, Renee ;) - and how that fault played out.

I also liked Liam in this, of course. I would have liked seeing more about what he thought of his father hurting his best friend so much this way, but you wrote his friendship with Renee very well, I thought. They do fight, but they also care for each other. And I like how you even hinted that Renee has more serious feelings for Liam (that was a deliberate hint, right?).

Also quite the interesting plot. Sandoval really will use anything he has to, and while he heard his conscience, he didn't listen to it. Of such things are evil men made, if powerful ones. Anyway, this was an interesting behind-the-scenes exploration.

In conclusion, nice job. ;) And long stories deserve long reviews, even if the review is probably 1/10 the size of the story . . . hehe. Planning on writing any more? I hope so!
