I've seen my dog (puppy), Lobo, die.
I remember I and my little sister was playing whit her (We lived in a little village in Vietnam then) and then, really suddenly, a car just drived at our little Lobo, whitout some warning or something. But I was sure that that person saw her!! They simply didn't care.
And they still don't care in Vietnam. One of the reason I don't want to go on a vication there.
Well, Lobo died, and I cried so much that I though I didn't have tears left anymore!
Well, this was a great story! Really, really great!!
And very sad! But great!

Really sweet. I never saw my pets die, because wherever we live/move to/ whoever we have as neighbors, there's always been one problem or another that meant we couldn't keep them. I guess it would have been sad to see them die, but I still wish I could have been there to see their whole lives, really spent all the time with them like I should have done rather than knowing they had become other people's pets instead. Sounds like you valued every day you spent with Kitty. This piece is so sad, and so sweet...

NOT FLINT! T_T Poor Flint. Flint's the cool one! But... I know what it's like to lose a pet... not necessarily to death, but parting is incredibly difficult. Sometimes it's harder to mourn the passing of an animal than a person, oddly enough. A tear-jerker, to be sure.

Speaking of which... I wish you well and give my sypmathy for the passing of your friend. Take care, and just keep Kitty in your fondest memories and you'll do fine. Good luck to you.

im sorry, the thought alone of a djinn dying is enough to make me cry. If u've read Sweet Lullaby, what do u think of it? I'ts not as good as this, but it *is* only my 2nd story. I gotta go and read a humour now, u have a way for making ppl sad.

I just found out in late july that one of my friends died so I know how you feel.

We are a family of many cats... One of ours died not so long ago, He lost his Hearing first, then sight, then smell, and he couldn't walk long before that... He was 16... I'm REALLY sorry about Kitty... ;_;

I suppose the Djinn sort of are like pets. I never thought of that before--kudos for originality! My condolances on the passing of your cat too. I've lost my share of beloved animal friends over the years and it's certainly not an easy thing to go through.

Masterful job. I've heard some people say that pets are never anything more than pets, but this story is a prime example of how even the smallest creature can work its way into your heart. Bravo.
