"The Highwayman" is an excellent ballad (I think I'm going to be tempted to download the song version of it, as you suggested,) and this piece was well worth the effort you obviously put into it. I enjoyed reading this. =3

Excellent work. I like the plot very much. I'm just writeing to fill in the blanks though...Jou ratted Bakura out didn't he? Evil EVIL, die DIE! Jou got in the way...jealousy is a really awful thing. Very good job...surprised for only 9 reviews...(10 now) it's so good! You could always take this and make it a long story...Bakura meets Ryou...Jou meets Ryou...then add this part in...without the ballad. Good idea...i think. Anyway...it's good. Literary Genius!

It is so beautiful... A wonderful work. I had never heard of this ballad before, but I truly admire it now. I think that I might download the song you talked about. I truly admire the poetic beauty and intricate simplicity of the plot and details. The way you matched the poem and the story. And at the end, with tem seeing each other again. Beautifuly done, and a masterpiece if ever I saw one.

Wow, you've only gotten seven reviews? That's surprising, considering how good this songfic is. I first saw that poem in my school's library, but the thought never occured to me to make such a story out of it. I guess I'm feeling rather emotional over here as well, I'm crying. Holy cow, I don't know if I'm just more sensitive right now, or more emotional or something...all I know is that I'm crying over here. I'd heard that song before and as I was reading, I couldn't recall how it ended. Oh gods, I just really wanted them to live happy ever after after how beautifully you set everything up. It was a beautiful, heart wrenching story. I have to go find some kleenix now.

I love The Highway Man... its one of my favorate poems...theres only one small book (200pgs or less) that I like..its called "Come to the by moonlight" heh... I like poetry

And you love that poem too?! I read it in English class, last year, and just kept reading it when he wasn't looking (my teacher). 'The Highway Man' *sigh* I think it's the best poem, out of that other one. . .

I forget that one though, it had been so long since I last read it. My sister used to sing that poem to me, when I was little, and I'd fall asleep to her singing and the poem itself.
