I always found it odd and a little funny that the kid in the story's name, Bastian Balthazar Bux, began with B's and the bookshop owners name began with C's. I haven't read the actual story in years. You even got the fact that Bastian was chubby in the book and applied it to Akane. Now that's true research. I can't wait to see what happens next. Will you make Atreyu be Ranma? And what of the childlike Empress? Who will she be if you decide to change her? I anxiously await the next chapter.

Lonely Soul: This story sounds interesting, but.. why did you make Akane sound like a fat piggie? She's not overweight in the manga. O_o (I can't even imagine her being fat.) The only person who IS fat is Shampoo; now that heifer is fat. There HAS to be a reason why you made Akane "fat". X_x If there isn't, then.. I think that's so weird, and you should make her loose weight in your story. x_o Well, I hope you continue and update the next chapter soon. See ya home skillet! ^.~

I love The Neverending Story! I've got the really big paperback novel. If I remember correctly, I think it was the first book I ever got; it's very old and very faded now, but still a kickass read. I can't wait to see what chaos Akane will bring to the land of Fantasia... keep it up!

Kill the italics, and maybe I'll read it. It's very hard to read this as it stands now.

I have to say, as a huge fan of Ende, this is absolutly great! (As is anything that might inspire more people to read that book. It's a masterpiece!)

Interesting premise, I can imagine a young Akane being comparable to Bastian. Are you going to use Ranma as Atreyu? (He'd look funny with green skin, wouldn't he? ^^)

Are you going to use the storyline from the *entire* book? If you are, this will be one heck of a long fanfic!
