 Timewatcher 12/15/10 . chapter 1cool |
Anphibium 10/10/05 . chapter 1 I stopped reading right after Superman was knocked out by that missile.
SUPERMAN, with the POWER COSMIC, getting KO'd by a freaking MISSILE!
The same Superman who juggles planets, sneezes out solar systems, reignites stars with his heat vision, and flies so fast as to break the barrier of creation and the same Power Cosmic that allows the wielder to move tens of millions of times the speed of light, fly through supernovas and black holes, create life, and stabilize stars about to go supernova?
What was in that missile, Kryptonite and a Cosmic Power Syphon Harness!
Sorry, you fail.
I rate this a negative 10/10. |
HecatonchiresLM 5/1/05 . chapter 1Excellent AU origin for Superman. Would have been nice to have a bit more of an idea of the amount of time spent in smallville. |
superninja 12/28/01 . chapter 1 Very much enjoyed this Elseworlds tale. In particular, the writing style and characterization envoked the fun, adventurous stories that made me love Marvel Comics so much as a kid. Good stuff, as usual...keep it up! |
Hangar 18 5/10/01 . chapter 1Read this a while ago on another site. One of my all-time favorite "Elseworld" or crossover-type tales. Kal-El's characterization, the Ultimate Nullifier, all well done. Great work, I've enjoyed some of your other stories as well. |
MissPennyworth 2/2/01 . chapter 1 Ahhh! At last! I found and read this story *somewhere* a long time ago, forgot where, wanted to read it again, and have now discovered it! Even more enjoyable this time since my fandom has progressed, and I know who most of the folks you're talking about are, this time. What can I say, Dannell, except... you're very, very good! (Of course, we all knew that already. ;)) Thought your representation of Kal-el's relationship with M&J was particularly poignant, loved it the first time and loved it again. This is a worthy Elseworld's origin for Clark, illustrating the aspects of his character that might have been more obvious, had he not been raised an earthling; the situation is different, but the person is still the same, and that is my fav kind of Elseworlds. :) Fine handling of all the numerous other chars, which I was able to appreciate better, this time. ;) Loooved your handling of Batman in relationship with the other characters. Batman. Is. Himself. (::chuckles in glee, a humongous Bat-fan...::) I better shut up before I take up more room than this was designed to permit. Keep it up, Dannell, I like what I'm reading... ;) |
Sean Stevens 11/26/00 . chapter 1 You sir, are a genius. This story was absolutely wonderful! I can honestly say that my expectations were not high in the beginning. But I was pleasantly suprised in this case. I could actually imagine, in my head, this entire story. This piece of art rivals many of the official Elseworlds Comics published by DC. I think that you should submit this for publication into a comic book. |
 Man.or astro man 5/7/00 . chapter 1 A beautifully imaginative story! I really enjoyed reading it |
