 Liliumscribe 2008-01-23 . chapter 1It's lovely and I think you've captured Aoshi perfectly. |
Phoenix Satori 2006-05-16 . chapter 1What's ironic is that I haven't the words to convey how incredible this story is.
Perfect.
Ineffably perfect.
Thank you.

Saucie 2005-02-21 . chapter 1Very very well done. You've got your characterisation down almost perfectly - Aoshi isn't one of those utterly silent characters that so many of us make him out to be; he talks, he answers, and he really doesn't spill his guts. But then - he does. Almost. Great work.
Misao is Misao - almost-but-not-quite mature, but it doesn't matter because she *knows*. And I love that the silences mean as much - perhaps more - as the words. (I sense a Pinter-esque pattern here ... but not quite!)
My favourite line in this was:
"He could tell her now, as he mentally traced the curve of her eyelashes against her cheek; he could use words to push her away from the brink of obsession with this man who had once been obsessed."
Obsession. It's such a critical theme, here ... for Aoshi, it's a very important consideration - how much is love, and how much is obsession?
Excellent fic, the ending happy without being trivial. Great work. |
 cutemara 2005-02-01 . chapter 1very well written...you caught their personalities perfectly... |
