I'd highlight all the things I loved most but this review would probably be longer than all ten chapters if I did, so I'll pick one: "The name escapes him, he can see the bold lettering of the diner greeting him as he walks through, but suddenly, all thought that doesn't involve her seems immaterial." That line actually brought a tear to my eye. Oh, and the end, where he's teling her he'll never lose her again and kissing her. And this: "He wonders if he should've said it, but she doesn't stir, so he leaves the conviction hang between them, thinking maybe one day, soon, he'll say it again when she can perhaps smile back." Completely kicked **. Loved it! |
