ch 1,
abuseOkay, to start off this was a lovely poem. Your words created such beautiful and touching images. I'm a Wiccan lesbian, whose parents are both devoted Christians.

To all who say you need to follow the exact word of the bible: You know in several passages the bible actually supports slavery (Ephesians 6:5-6 is only one of the many passages). But I don't see you going a round whining that slavery should be legal again.

Another thing: We shouldn't let intolerance or dislike of a certain group of people even enter our minds. (I know not all of you descriminate) Many children in my school have been beaten, and some even hospitalized because of intolerance.

To those who think you are not born gay/bi/straight: There are actually scientific studies being done right now on homosexual genes. Already they have found out that if one twin is homosexual the other one has a high chance of also being one too because of the similar genetics. You can tell with some children that they are homosexual at as young as two and three. They have not been influenced by the media, they are only being who they are.

abuseGorgeous. Brings up many of the same things I feel about those who say they are trying to stop this so-called "sin". I'm straight and all, but I dont believe love is wrong just b/c someone isnt the "right" gender. Wonderful poem.

abuseIt's really a beautiful poem, and your notes at the end kind of surprised me.
I just hope you can live happy no matter which path you choose

abuseOuch...Yeah, I've felt this. :) I'm a seventeen-year-old bisexual Christian, and if I had a nickel for the number of times I've held my own in debates against conservatives, only to go home and wonder if God doesn't love me any more...

Not fun. Not fun at all. People are screwed up--that's the only explanation I have. ::knuffles::

abuseTo use what seems to be the most popular cliche, that was beautiful :) Frankly, *I* feel sorry for the *flamers*. To be trapped in a world that condemns happiness can't be much fun, y'know? If you can deny that love is the most powerful, wonderful, *holy* thing ever, then you've obviously never really felt it - and I'm inclined to believe that that includes God's love. Either that, or you're just messed in da head ;) Awesome poem, very well written! The first two lines and the last three were my personal favorites. Blessed Be back atchya ;)

abuseThe poem was moving in it's own way, but I think the author's note struck me just a bit more. (so I'm going to reviw on that, ^_^) I don't know what I've been for most of my life, but I knew christan was never it, and right now I'm still note all that sure. But I'm getting there, people have tried to convert my, and have said I'm going to hell (for several reasons) But the funnie thing is, every one who knows me has never said that. Think on that, flamers.

Blessed Be.

abuseWARNING: Get ready all you Christians and other people out there anger me to no end (THIS MEANS YOU, LADYDEVIMON), coz I'm an atheist and an activist.
As it is, LadyDevimon are you really Christian? With an alias like LadyDevimon (The name of a digimon representing a female devil) you would seem Satanic. So sod off, you rotten rat bastard! People like you preaching how this is this and that is that are the true people helping to detonate this tickin' shitbomb called Earth. People like you who tell others they are wrong in life and that some "Divine Spirit of Love" hates them for being a certian way are the coz of some people becoming depressed and killing themselves. I won't preach on about beliefs, so for that is just as I hate. But I will preach at those who say they are right and others are hated or will pay because they are "wrong".
Even if I am wrong about there being no God, I won't turn on my belief. In fact, I will stand before "He" and say: "What sort of Father of Peace are you? You preach of love and acceptance, but look at these poor souls paying for your unacceptance."
I am truly sorry if I angered any of you. Truly I am. But people like LadyDevimon hack me off so much that at times I can't think my words through.
But SuperherogirlCat, ignore the fouls and mass, for they are stupid and full of moronic thoughts. I can bet you this. Those people, like the person whose alias I have repeated plenty, could careless about others like the poor Tibetan people but still say they completely are Christian. It is people like LadyDevimon and my my family who coz me to think that all Christians are the same. So I am once again sorry.
Ah...I got way to sidetracked. Heheheheh! But SuperherogirlCat it was very beautiful. It does capture the way I felt when I found out I was a lesbian.
Oh! And Anointed4eve? It isn't a relationship, technitcally. It is more a choice of having hope for something other than yourself. Something to watch over you coz you feel you can't make life on your own will...You know what? I am beginning to sound like an Atheistic verson of LadyDevimon. I'm such a stupid git. So sorry Anointed4eve! I was pushing my beliefs. I am so frickin' sorry. Forgive me? You know what else? This is a whole lot of writting and I am sure I have hacked off enough Protestants and Catholics by now so bye for now.
PS. It was a truly beatiful piece of work, sorry I got so wrapped up in my anger at fouls.
PPS. If those who read this would like to know more on the Tibetan people who are suffering coz of how the Chinise government is treating them, look into the Free Tibet Campaign. You could help make a difference.
PS. Reject False Icons, down with fur, and help with equality!

abuseA beautiful poem. Sigh, if only we were excepted as we are. Personally, you could tell me you worship the little hamster in your head and I wouldn't give a **. It's WHO you are that counts. (Okay, maybe I'd be worried if someone told me they worshipped a little hamster in their head) ; )

Putting this on favs, a lot of people should read this. Had a gay friend once who grew up Christian...it didn't turn out very well.

abuseJust because we "feel" something, doesn't make it righteous. We all have many, many feelings, urges, inclinations that we must overcome in order to be a good person. I guess this happens to be your specific challenge.
God's laws are eternal and universal. They are given to us not because God needs them, but because we need them, to protect us from ourselves.
We do not have the capability, with our tiny finite human minds, and our limited human capacities, to always foresee how to protect ourselves. Fortunately, the Lord God does, and because He loves us, He gives us these rules to protect us.
Do not dismiss them so lightly. Not one of us has the mind or the capacity to say that we know better than Almighty God. Respect His infinitely superior wisdom; respect His Divine laws.
I pray for you and wish you well.

abuseAre you a true, born-again airhead, too, Lady Devimon? Your Lord will decide what is right and what is wrong; do not judge this woman's poem because she is lesbian; judge it rather for the quality and hope in it. She may have turned atheist because she faced persecution and/or 'cleansing' things from the more passionate members of Christianity. Do not attempt to change her; if she loves and loves in return, then no harm. Listen to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the things he said himself, not those men and women who followed him. One betrayed him; how do you know the others didn't do a more subtle job?
I tip my hat to you, SHGC.

abuseBravo. It's a beautiful piece. We're not going to hell, and we're not evil. And even if I'm wrong, who wants to spend the rest of eternity in a heaven filled with homophobes?

abuseI admire your courage and conviction and agree with everything your say. I don't follow any organized predomination. (I'm Deist-A Christian who believes in Chaos Theory and Free Will) I believe as I choose. I support homosexuality and don't even care if I end up being a lesbian. (I'm essentially straight, though). I know two married lesbians and their love inspires me. Just as my mom and dad's love inspires me. True love should be the world's aim, not love on certain, hypocritical terms.
Thank you for posting this.

abuseokay, Just read all of this please...And reviewers please read this too:(and if it offends you, just please continue to read it... thanks i appreciate it)

In the last decade homosexuality has come out of the "Closet." Homosexuals have their own communities, their own magazine3s and newspapers, even their own shurches.

BUt if you think that it hasn't as yet touched your church(If you don't have one, then just read this anyways), you're probably wrong. If you attend a church that has more than fifty members, chancer are someone in your church is strugling with Homosexuality.
This issue is one that we as Christians need to face in a compassionate and straightforward manner.

THE FACTS

opinions vary greatly on the cause behind homosexuality. Some people say it's purely a matter of genetic orientation.

Others say it is purely a matter of choice. The pasdt experiences of homosexualsdo, however, reveal several consistent patterns.

Most homosexuals had difficulty bonding with their parent of the smae sex. many experienced some form of sexual abuse in the past. Rejection hy their peers also impacted many homosexuals, easpecially being labeled by their peers as "**" or "**" or "**"

God's word speaks plainly on the issue of Homosexual behavior. It condemns it in strong language: "Do not be decieved: Neither the Sexually immoral no idolaters.. NOr homosexual offenders... will inherit the kingdom of God" (1corinthians 6:9-10; see also leviticus 18:22; romans 1:26-27

THE HOPE

Gods word may condemn homosexual behavior as sin, but it doesn't leave the homosexulas in that sin with NO HOPE.
Paul condemns homosexual behavior, as well as many other sinful acts, 1 orinthians 6:9-10. BUt then in verse 11 he moves on to say: "And that is what some of you were." Did you catch that? the writer Paul knew that some of them members of the Corinthian church were former homosexuals! But they were also "washed... sanctified... justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

CONCLUSION

If you or someone you know is struggling with homosexual tendencies, don't give up! There is hope. God has promised "hope and a future"(Jeremiah 29:11)o to every Christian...

I love you! i'm not just saying that because "i'm a Christian and that i'm SUPPOSED to be nice" but i saying it because i truly do(Not in that way{love} but Christ love and my love.)

I care, my uncle is homosexual, and it was because of his ex- fiance, she left him at the alter and he said he could never love another women, that's when he became gay... But that doesn't mean i hate him. i love HIM! He means alot to me, but the fact that he doesn't have Christ, and the fact that he can't feel the way i've felt and (feel) since i became a Christian hurts me... He's hurting.. and i cry almost every night on behalf of him... i just pray that he could feel the way i feel... He's really a nice sweet guy, he's the sweetest guy you can meet... BUt i have such a huge burden for him...

And if you WERE truly a (real) Christian, then you wouldn't turn from Him...

Christianity Really Isn't a religion, it's a relationship... Not a set of rules!
I LOVE YOU!

I really do...

If this doesn't change you, well i guess it's not your time yet... God has his own timing for you to Return to him. it may not be today, may not be tomorrow... But it's soon

Love ya SIs!
God Bless! May God guide you, and his waring angels surruond you and protect you... *Traveling Mercies*

Peace out!
