This fic is AWESOME! Your best yet. Everyone was true to character and everything was based on theroys. Though, I'm 98% sure that if snape heared Wormtail tell Voldie the Potter's location, he would have told DD. Then DD would never had testified against Sirius, and that would have changed the whole book series. I'd better get to COS and talk about it instead of ranting in your post. Again, awesome fic, though.

The only way to reconcile this with the books is to assume that Snape was only pretending to believe Sirius was guilty (end Prisoner of Azkaban); personally I don't think it holds up.

OMG that was so good! i never expected Snape usuing the memory charm on Neville when he was a baby, taht was genius, this was so good. gr8 job.

Brilliant story! I love how you weaved in Neville's fear of Sev into the whole story, that was a wonderful touch to this. I can't blame Sev for not being sympathetic to James Potter's murder though, James was such a bully and sometimes a person can't get over being so victimised. It was also nice to see Harry behaving more mature and seeing not everything is black and white.

This story rocks! "Snape's Worst Memory" is one of the best chapters in OOtP and one that opens a lot of opportunities for fanfics. It fills in a lot of the holes in terms of what exactly Snape did before and after he started being a spy for Dumbledore. And the Neville memory-charm thing is genius! According to your backstory, Snape's hardness on Neville would be to cover up his own guilt for the too-strong memory charm... and also explains why he never really expected Neville to do well (but then, Neville's in Gryffindor, so it's a general feeling for Snape). I never pictured Bellatrix Lestrange as being a blond, but I guess her sister Narcissa is and maybe I just wasn't paying attention when she was described... anyway, keep up the good work! - Lolua
