Shade Eido 11/16/06 . chapter 1*jaw drops, eyes water* Poor, poor, Charlotte, she wasn't expecting that... or was she? This was a beautiful, well thought out story and I give it two thousand big thumbs up. It's always good to see someone writing about Koudelka, it was a good game. You know, at first Charlotte scared the daylights out of me (t'was the very first of the game) but when I found out more about her I was like: "I'd best be able to help her, damn it." and I did. It doesn't amaze me that you managed to grip the over all feel of the game itself, hell, you're a great writer after all, it's just that when I read a story like this I can't help but stand in awe for a few minutes. Long live Koudelka and it's wonderful story. |
 tigerofthewind 12/18/04 . chapter 1Ooh. I feel appropriately sad.
I heart you. I'm putting you on my Fav Authors list. Now.
(BTW, I wish they'd explained a bit more about Charlotte in the game. It would've really made the players 'feel' for her more.) |
MikoNoNyte 9/10/04 . chapter 1Your piece came recommended to me and I'm glad they found it. No, not a scary piece, considering Koudelka, but poignant. One cannot help but feel for little Charlotte, even if one forgets to pray at her grave and thus faces her nasty side. Yet this child is one of the main characters of Koudelka and a heavy influence. It is her words that brings home the horror that was once a monastery. And you have captured that quite nicely; right down to the twist of her thinking that would have been developed by being raised by 'madmen', which surely those guards were. And the little twist of the knife at the end, the almost-but-not-quite seen apparition and the final farewell. Yup, very nicely written.
Koudelka is one of my favorites as well, and you've captured the miasma of insanity that permeated the game. Thanks ever so much. |
Nalanzu 10/31/03 . chapter 1 Despite not having played the game, I still thoroughly enjoyed the fic. Wow. That was... a definitely very creepy look inside the head of a very disturbed little child.
...now I'm curious about the game. Damn you. . |
Yamatano Too lazy to sign in 10/7/03 . chapter 1 HOLY FUCKING SHIT! This was very tragic and the explanation of her death was sad. This story is very impressive, I must say. |
