I'm not ashamed to admit that this story made me cry. The ugly cry too.

But then there's nothing quite as bad as believing for even a moment that you can have someone you've lost back again only to discover it's not true. Somehow it's worse than loosing them in the first place.

At first... I wasn't sure where it was going. I knew who the characters were...and then...then I understood...and I was sad... sad. And then...you throw this at me:

"He said to keep going, but I just don't know how."

The words were quiet, barely a whisper, the speaker too lost to be able to truly find his voice. But under the blond spikes, brown eyes were raised, and for the first time he realized that in all these weeks he had never really looked into those depths before. One had to wonder how anything could be alive, with eyes so dead.

You. You are wonderful... I swear, this is exactly what I've been looking for. It's so hard to find Get Backers fiction...well written. Happy, Serious, or Sad... you have it all down.

Please, please continue (not necessarily this one, seeing as it's a one shot), but just more Get Backers fics in general. The places I see you taking it... are infinite and wondrous.
