this is such an awesome story, you are a very good author. i like how you describe the characters emotions along with everything else.

Finished reading, and oh boy do I wish there were more than five chapters. You write all the characters pretty much exactly as I do, including your non-beautification of Magus. Your Magus, like mine, is the very same haggard man of at least thirty that I fell in love with so long ago. [/fangirl] Well, what matters is that he's not the handsome young almost-vampire I usually see. Seriously, can those people even see his portrait? The only real differences I've seen so far between your characters and mine are Lucca's apparent lack of Crono-crush and the absence of homosexuality in Frog. Even so, great work, write more.

First chapter has been read. Best CT fic I've yet laid eyes on, and this comes from the author of a not-yet-finished twentysomething-chapter monster that sparked rave reviews after the sucky first three chapters ended. Bravo, bravo. Must read more...

Anyway, I'd offer you some constructive criticism and everything, most fic writers like that and everything, but I just can't find any! Your characterizations are dead on and the plot kicks absolute ass, what else can I say? I especially like the tension b/w Lucca and Magus. I bow to your superior writing ability!

I don't know why I didn't check out this fic before; it's a good read. The dialogue is witty, and the characters' motives are well developed. You write a very entertaining and believable Magus--one of the best I've seen yet. It's just how I'd expect him to behave in the game, under the circumstances you've given.
I like your explanation behind Volt Bite, too. Not many gamers try to make sense out of crazy things like that.
Good luck with this one--I'm keeping an eye on it.

i haven't reviewed this for awhile... :( but i love your characterization of magus... reminds me of raistlin from dragonlance. ever read those? why am i having one-sided conversations with you? i live a sad life, i suppose. keep writing. i'll try to review more often... and i should because i love this story...
