I'm so glad I've stumbled across your story! It's been a while since I read a good 'Saiyuki' fanfic, and I wasn't execting to find anything interesting at the Pit. And yet, here it is!

I liked the idea of Hakkai having met Gojyo before their first meeting (you know what I mean), it gives so much possibilities for other first impressions. The way they immediately went to being each-other's 'Marshal' and 'General' was both sweet and awe-inspiring. The entire business with being 'one' was just sigh-worthy. Great job here.

I also like the way you switch the narrative between Hakkai and Gojyo, and make them distinctive. A lot of authors have trouble with that, when they're not writing dialogue (and some even then). Your Hakkai's perspective is suitably intellectual, thoughtful and polite-sounding, while Gojyo's is loose, informal and devil-may-care. There were some hitches in the Gojyo narraive, but overall, it was done well.

Damn. Wow. I know this story is older, being as its been 2 1/2 years since it was posted, and all. But this was very ...right, poetic, whatever you want to call it. This is the closest to anything I've seen on how I've imagined Gojyo and Hakkai's relationship to be. It's a very beautiful story, and I was so glad to find it still here, out for enjoyment. Thanks!

Oh, I loved this. Excellent way of showing a believable view of the pairing. Almost poetic in a way. Enjoyed it very much. XD

What a wonderful little ditty. I love it--the first meeting, the first fight, and especially that instinct to fight like a well trained soldier when holding a sword shouldn't, logically, feel right at all. I also like how the way that Goyjo and Gonou fight together, like fluid. The entire story makes for a brilliant blending of Hakkai and Goyjo's souls. Great story!

Very good. You added some great references from Gaiden as well. ^_^ Someone else that's Gojyo/Hakkai! YAY! Managed to convey just how complicated it is between those two as well, which is DAMNED hard to do. Keep it up, i'll be watchin.

I loved it.

No, seriously, I did. Even when you Converted me it was more of a "Eh, okay, I like it," rather that, "Wow, that's seriously cute." And now, after reading this, it's like, "... wow... that's so SWEET." And you can do it without writing Kanan off as an infatuation. That's amazing. ^^

I liked the Gaiden references you slipped in; they fit nicely. I also have *always* liked how you can add more meaning to an official scene that already had a lot of meaning behind it. *That* takes a lot of talent.

So while not my *favourite* pairing, it's getting up there because of you, and I'm loving it. ^^ And this fic, for that matter, which is *so* pretty. The "mirror of their souls" line got me the best, somehow. So shiny. *^^*

Anyway... loved it muchly! Am glad you wrote this, and I can't wait to read more stuff you write/update. ^_^
