I didn't really understand the technical principles you tried to explain but that isn't important. What's important is the atmosphere reminding me somehow of "2001: Odyssey In Space" and "The Gods Themselves".

This is an excellent story. You have a very lyrical and lovely style of writing that brings a fabulous immediacy to the characters and settings. A really good piece of writing.

Excellent idea-Will's side of the story never had as decisive an ending as Lyra's, and this was a novel and spectacular conclusion. Good sci-fi as well-Arthur C. Clarke's stuff was far too omptimistic to happen normally, but in a nausent Republic of Heaven..bet he likes that idea. John and Susan are well evoked, hard to stop reading. Best you've done for some time. But has anyone told you yet Skaven are mutant rats in a fantasy boardgame?
