I found that quite enchanting, honestly - I feel you are a poet, despite what you mentioned in your author's note. As long as a bit of love of someone or something is harbored in your veins, you are a poet in my eyes... and I can sense in your writing such is the case. ^^

I especially enjoyed the reference to hope, how it is needed to succeed. My favorite line from the poem, I believe.
