sance777 2009-10-31 . chapter 1this happens to be one of the best stories about legolas that i have read so far. i was very suprised by the quality of the writing and sorry to hear that you won't be continuing it. But thanks a lot for allowing us to share in this well written and touching story. With so many reviews I know i'm not alone in my opinions. Again, thanks. |
Why oh sweet valar why?! 2009-10-22 . chapter 37 Why haven't you updated this story? It's a totally awesome story and you've stopped writing it. Become inspired again; watch LOTR and eat some sugar and popcorn. Please don't torture me anymore and finish this fanfiction. |
Aure Bouie 2009-10-19 . chapter 12I noticed in your profile that you also write stories for Labyrinth (a favorite of mine since childhood), and I couldn't help but think of Kaitlyn looking very much like a young Jennifer Connely, even though you mentioned that Kaitlyn herself wasn't particularly pretty. So, I think it's funny that you mentioned a Jennifer manip being close to Kaitlyn's appearance. What a coincidence. |
Aure Bouie 2009-10-18 . chapter 1I really like the direction you went with this. It's a breath of fresh air in the LOTR fandom. I'll definitely continue on to the next chapter.
Long live Legoland! |
Sarifina85 2009-10-03 . chapter 37This has got to be just about my favorite story, and I know I'm not alone. So many people love it. I hope you can come back to it and finish it. So many people are left wanting more from this story, and wanting to see its finish. |
La Jazz 2009-10-02 . chapter 37WoW! SO beautiful & fantastically awesome! Indeed, I'm extremely sad by the inevitable fact: You won't be writing any new chapters to that romantically chaste story.
In fact, I had finished reading the whole 37 chapters last 4 years ago. Now, I had finished it in two days' time, feeling tingly amazed that I was still captivated by your woven threads of charming constancy, as ever! Tonight, I feel compelled to express my heartfelt hope of seeing it be fully & finally completed with satisfying binded ties.
There are some questions popping up in my mind.
1. I'd like to see how Legolas's doting father would react to his beloved son's choice of woman, so different from all other women of Middle Earth.
2. I do wish to see how Legolas & Rodwen would be progressing in their unique relationship with ups & downs of their lives.
3. I'd like to witness their beautiful children growing up in vibrant atmosphere.
4. I'm just so curious to see how well Kaitlyn would be faring in old age, together with the immortal. I naturally hope that she'd live longer, longer, longer, reaching the unbelievable age, like 900-10 years.
That 37th chapter's finish is hauntingly bittersweet with perfect viola.
Thank you for creating that beautiful love story. =) |
SilverAlizarin 2009-09-28 . chapter 37 I absolutely loved all the chapters. I apologize for not reviewing them and feel guilty. I just knew I wanted to read more. I kept ignoring the praise's that filled my mind and clicked >> 37 times. The story captivated me this was the first GOOD Legolas story I have ever read and honestly wish I found it sooner.
I enjoyed the fact that you didn't followed the story completely but didn't stray from it either. How she wasn't perfect amuzed me because I found most of her choices were the same ones I'd make in real life rather than the silly characters who think 'YES! ORC KILLING TIME!' I was so happy to find a realistic character.
I agree with the way you portrayed her at the beginning when she found out what Legolas was. I rather liked the fact that she feared her cause honstly Legolas scared me a bit while I read the book. He was just so perfect it was creepy.
I was most happy that you included extra details from the books such as the 'Elvish love.' In the beginning when I started reading I knew this was going to be good. I actually had been hoping to find a story where the author actually included such detail.
Honestly I can't find anything wrong with the story. Although at first I was upset that she was sent to the cave with the women and children but as I kept reading I later understood what you wanted to happen. Keep up the good work!
No really I'm dying to find out what happens next.
P.S. I like how you made it so she wasn't a Mary-Sue and Magically immune to the Ring. Pure brilliance. |
Harteramo 2009-09-03 . chapter 37A very well written story hopefully someday you'll post up another chapter looking foward to it ^^. |
Allie a.k.a. SadistikCianide 2009-08-20 . chapter 37 I loved this story! I usually don't read LegolasOC stories, but this one was exquisite. I really enjoyed it. I looked at your profile and was saddened at the fact that you won't be finishing this story. It really is quite good. The punctuation could be worked on, but it was legible and I enjoyed it. I hope that you pick this story up some time soon, I really wanted to know what happened next. A sign of a good writer if your readers want you to continue so much. But I can understand that there are other more important interests that consume your attention now. Continue writing though, you are quite skilled. It would be a shame if you stopped. |
Black Gate Keeper 2009-08-16 . chapter 37T.T I read your profile and it saddens me that you won't be continuing to write this story. I want to know who the peeping-tom is ><
I really enjoy this story and wish you would continue it but understand that your interests now lie elsewhere so I will not whine and moan for it like some do.
Please continue to pursue writing. |
 syneline 2009-07-22 . chapter 37 Hello
You have the honour to reserve my first review. I think your fanfic is a marvellous peace of art, and it saddens me that it will remain unfinished on a moment like that one. Your righting is fantastic and you even managed too make me cry at the end. I desperately hope that you’ll finish it some day, even though I doub it. One thing is certain it will say in my favourites (sorry if my English is not very good) |
Anon Emus 2009-06-10 . chapter 22 Oh, Gandalf, you closet 'shipper. So this is what bored old wizards do in their spare time. And I pity that poor generic soldier; I suppose he'll be addressing visitors in a slightly higher voice for a while. |
Elissa Alejandra 2009-06-02 . chapter 37My dear, it is 3 in the morning and you have left me awed, moved, and saddened by this work of art. I checked out your webpage and was pleasantly surprised to see Jennifer Connelly as your choice for Kaitlyn - a very good one.
As I said, I am deeply saddened that you will not continue this but know that this wonderful piece of fiction is forever engraved in my memory as one of the absolute best I have ever read.
Thank you. |
Lisa from Stockholm, Sweden 2009-04-20 . chapter 37 I found this fanfic randomly. A Harry Potter fanfic writer had this story as one of her favorites and it sounded interesting, so I started reading it.
This is without a doubt one of the best fanfics I have ever read. If not the best. I started reading it last night and I couldn't stop reading until I had come to the last posted chapter - I fell asleep at four o'clock in the morning, choosing to read your bio next day to see why you haven't updated this story in so long. It saddens me that you won't finish it. It really does.
Glancing over your other stories I was shocked to realize that I have read some of your Labyrinth stories - One, Survive and the Debt. It's funny how a story you just happen to come across can lead you back to old favorites you haven't read in a long time. Those three Labyrinth stories are all part of my favorite ones. =)
This is the first time, ever, that I send someone a review. I am going to keep this story in my favorites in a desperate hope that you'll finish it, someday, when inspiration, time and attention returns to you.
Until then... Take care.
