Since I think the whole suicide angle is still a tad unnecesary I can't condone Hermione doing it. Although human nature would say that someone in Hermione's perdicament would probably do that (not everyone, but some).

I didn't really like that. Who knows why.

I did appreciate the line "The last thing she knew was that someone was standing over her screaming hysterically," but I think that was it. Oh, also the irritated skin and pulsing blood. That was good.

Try to be more descriptive (like that is) for the rest of the story. This is not beyond redemption.
