I love this idea of maternal!Minerva. Though nothing is mentioned in canon if she is/was a mother, there are still many indications that she can be just as devoted and nurturing as one to her students. ^-^ And I really love the idea of Snape being one of her 'cubs' instead of the usual Gryffindor rabble.
