xanya-forever 2004-03-06 ch 1,	abuseUm... perfect. Seriously, that is the only word I can use to describe this fic. It was perfect in every way. It's going straight on my favourite stories list! I just saw this ep (like, three times) and this scene was the complete standout one. Then there's this fic - which is possibly even better. The title fit it wonderfully, too. I loved how it started off with her heart break, and the immense pain she was going through, her feeling that nobody else could have ever felt such heart ache (somehow, I can actually believe that). The quotes were excellent, they complimented it beautifully. This line was particularly effective: The laughter, the smiles, the love that still weighs heavy on your heart overshadows the hate and the anger and the utter hopelessness that encase you. Keeps your heart alive. Even if you don't feel like you have one anymore. And this bit just made me lose it completely: Because the one person who would "Are you romantically interested in anyone right now? the one person who did "Wife? What wife? I have no wife." doesn't want to anymore. "You got married." "I did." And seriously, I can't think of any more perfect way for this to have been written. I know this review is all over the place and probably not very cohesive... but that's because my emotions are like that at the moment. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS! By the way, is there any chance that you could write something based on the scene in 'Succession' where Vaughn says he was "a guy who stayed up late nights drinking, talking to his dead girlfriend..."?
