nim draug 2/3/11 . chapter 1Awww, an interesting concept - very original :)xxx |
Spyke Raven 5/2/05 . chapter 1A very interesting follow-up to the previous story. I must confess I did think that Gimli and Legolas rushed in rather easily in 'Birds and Bees', but given the behaviour portrayed here, it all fits very nicely. Thanks for writing this. |
Lamiel 10/10/03 . chapter 1Oh, Rose, this is so sweet! I didn't find it really sad-bittersweet, perhaps, but really touching and beautiful. The description of Gimli's heart, "and the shards divided again," and the rhythm of "Legolas said . . . Legolas said . . ." just beautiful. Very, very nice. Lamiel |
Little My 10/4/03 . chapter 1What a great examination of the jealous nature of dwarves. This was heartbreaking - poor Legolas and Gimli. But I'm glad the dwarf paused to listen before he burst in on the two, axe a-swinging! One of the parts I found the most effective, actually, was the repetition of "Legolas said". It was almost rhythmic, like a succession of painful blows to Gimli's heart as he overhears Legolas' anguish. Very nice, and I'm glad it had a happy ending! |
ephedrine 10/3/03 . chapter 1eep, i'm sorry to say that when i first saw the summary i was like "WTH? GIMLI AND LEGOLAS!" and was a little bit disgusted... but as i read your story, i found out that your style of writing was excellent _ in one part though, you kept writing "Legolas said, Legolas said, Legolas said" maybe you should change it a bit to make it more interesting...
