Commander Galos 4/17/01 . chapter 3 Oh dear lord! This story is just getting better and better! Just the right amount of insanity, mayhem and laughter that characterises all your stories. I never expected for you to continue this story, much less in a round robin fashion, but hey, I'm not complaining! Keep going! This is what writing is all about!_ |
Lufio 3/7/01 . chapter 2 O_O *doki**doki* O_O *doki**doki* Ano... That... was... different. Definitely round-robin style, with the switch from drama at the end of Chap. 1 to adventure at the end of Chap. 2. The basement was unexpected, but needs more specific descriptions of really weird stuff, like a totem pole made of bones or some more stuffed/in stasis creatures. The part with Kasumi and the water stain was finally addressed, satisfying, and fun. The part involving Kodachi and Sasuke was a nice WAFF touch. The pajamas bit was outrageously silly. And the part where Nodoka is getting ideas from Jared will be a nice start for a running gag, where she tries to mold Ranma's situation to be like Jared's. |
Adon 3/7/01 . chapter 2 Nice story, though again I think that the girls are given too little credit
for character when they're made to just leave Ranma. And please, PLEASE,
get Jared out as soon as possible. Yes, I have come to hate the Jared
character, no offense intended to the real Skysaber. It's the character
who shows up in these stories which drives me up the wall. As one person
said, he's annoyingly perfect. He turns good female characters into just
more members of his already ridiculously huge harem, causing them to lose
much of their individuality, which I consider to be a disservice to them,
and not the least bit entertaining. And worst, he tends to dominate the
story as soon as he shows up, causing it to revolve around him when he has
no business being there in the first place. It often seems gratuitous, I
mean, half the time he doesn't *need* to be there at all. Tension goes
bye-bye, as he solves everyone's problems and hogs the glory from those
who, until he shows up, were the main characters. For instance, IMO he
ruined "A Different Art" when he showed up, by suddenly becoming the center
of the action when he hadn't even been in the story for several chapters.
And it's sad, because up until that point, it was very promising. There's
already too much of him in Fourth Labor... please don't spread him out
more.
With that rant out of the way, let's deal with what else we have. I'd kind
of like to see how the girls react to the realization that they'd abandoned
Ranma in his time of need. I already have a good idea with Kasumi, but
what of the others, with the fact that not only do they owe Ranma something
huge, but that they showed no gratitude whatsoever? Interesting, if done
well. And let's see what the deal with Ranko is, hopefully in story,
without Jared explaining everything. Well, cool premise, let's see where
it goes. |
