| Kate Andromeda 2008-06-28 ch 12, | abuseWhat a great story! I love Maud and Severus. And what a drama and happy end. I had myself convinced it would end badly and then you turn it around. Just great. Thank you for writing this. |
| Malu Snape Rickman 2007-10-23 ch 12, | abuseBeautiful :')! |
| Absolution x.x 2007-02-12 ch 12, | abuseI really like read this history, but I'm very bad in Inglish. I wish make a question: ¿this history is being tranlated for anything?. I read the first and secon part, and I think that is really good. I'm really thanked for if it give me an answer and name of any traudctor for your history. PD: Exuse my english ^_^. |
| Silence Messiah 2007-02-04 ch 1, | abuseMs. Anderson: I can't explain how much i love your story, the words can't express my obvious admiration! Could I translate the third part of your trilogy to the Spanish? I promise you to do well: my Castilian is obviously better than my English xD, unfortunately. Thank you so much for your magical imagination, Adriana Ramos. |
| Chris 2005-12-24 ch 12, anon. | abuseThis was a very canon-like offering; I think you did an excellent job of maintaining character and avoid any super-heroism found in so much other fan-fiction. I was thinking to myself as I read the trilogy, that I could not tell this wasn't one of JKR's stories. I was disappointed in that we did not get more details about the rest of the battle with Voldemort at Horwarts. I was looking forward to reading the details of Dobby and Co. And as others have said, perhaps just a little of Maud meeting Harry, perhaps after the battle as they are catching their breath, or maybe in the Healer's tent. Anyways, congratualations on a great effort. I look forward to the rest of your offerings, late as I may be to begin reading them all. |
| Ebony StarStorm 2005-11-06 ch 8, | abuseHullo, thought Lucinda, There's my hairbrush!! Genius!! Absolute Genius! (funny, too) |
| Mousker 2005-09-06 ch 12, | abuseI restrained from reviewing your previous stories until i finished the series. I would first like to thank you for the very enjoyablke spent time I had reading this marvelous piece of work. Beautiful. I loved the ending. At times I was unsure about the story especially since you seemed at times to make leaps in character development. Yet, I cannot deny my love of your story, the characters and the most superb ending. You are a poet at heart. |
| AnyOtherWorld 2005-08-12 ch 12, | abuseThese stories are fantastic! They keep you guessing all the way through which is great and there's just enough of every genre in there. I don't think there's any part where Snape is out of character and every thing that happens makes complete sense. You are definately going on my favourite authors list, and your three 'Darkness & Light' stories have been added to the C2 that i am part of. All that's left to say is, well done and don't ever stop writing because you're brilliant at it. |
| Sakiina 2005-06-18 ch 1, | abuseOh! Oh! That's just sad. I like angst, but it gets me every time... Argh... And I do so wish she had ended up with George; where keeping it canon-compliant would have been difficult there, it would have more than made up for it in the sweetness and amusement I find in his character. She could have been utterly blissful, she could have, if not for that Snape ... heh. Oh well, if Snape is what does it for her, I'll let her keep it up. |
| D. M. Domini 2005-02-18 ch 12, | abuseI first read the Darkness & Light trilogy...wow...3 years ago. In late 2001. And it's still really good! :) |
| nessime-lisen 2004-09-11 ch 12, | abuseMy Dear Ms. Anderson, Words are failing me at the moment. For some time (practically since I joined the Fandom), I have been avoiding reading your story. Partly because I am terrified of long epics. Once I start reading them, all is well, it's getting into them that's the problem. I did not take the time to observe that your stories weren't as long as most of the "classic fanfic." Your stories are the perfect length really. Some people attempt to write every single day, but you write things carefully and concisely and don't get bogged down in the details. I especially enjoyed the revelation that Tony was a death eater. It was very well done. You had me believing the entire time that it was Sarah and that Maud believed the same. Granted I was waiting for another shoe to drop, but I was not expecting that. I also loved Dumbledore's sacrifice and the ramifications of it, it was masterfully written. Maud is one of the few OC's in memory that I have geuninely liked just as much as any cannon character. Your Snape is an absolute gift to the fandom. If all fan fiction authors wrote him half as well as you do, there would be a whole lot more quality Snape-fics out there. My only complaint is that there was little to no interraction between Snape and Harry. But then the length which I so appreciate would have been considerably expanded, which may or may not have been a good thing ;-) Thank you for reminding me why I read fan fiction. -Julie P.S. I also wanted to say that I greatly appreciate your "Defense of Harry Potter." You put articulately why I, also an evangelical Christian, read Harry Potter. |
| KiwiWannabe 2004-09-06 ch 12, | abuseI have read so many fanfictions, but yours is the best one of them all...I am completely convinced. Wow! I am still just completely speechless. I've come back and read this story four times at least, and I've never tired of it. I've even shared it with family members and friends, and they all love it to death. You are an amazing writer, and you have a beautiful way with words. Maud Moody is just a fantastic character, as is your portrayal of Imogen and George. And Snape is completely in character, which is hard to find these days in many fics. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. -Erin |
| Rosmerta 2004-08-19 ch 12, | abuseAh ... better than ever! What a treat to re-read and see how it fits with all the other fics. Though I'm guessing you won't be able to do a canon-friendly rewrite after books 6 and 7 come out - there will be too many changes in the Potterverse for the Snape-and-Maudverse to keep up. My great fear is that Dumbledore will have to die at the end of book 6 - so Harry will have all of book 7 to become his own man and stand up to Voldemort on his own. But no! Not Dumbledore! [cries] Your characters' tributes to Dumbledore here brought tears to my eyes. All in all, this is truly a great fic - one of the very best in the HP realm. One last thing: your Holmes references jogged my thoughts this time around - will you/could you consider writing a short fic about Severus's previous visit to the cottage?? Would he meet Mary Russell, perhaps? An intriguing thought! Please just think about it; I'll wait patiently, since I have you on my Author Alert now! ;) |
| Nigriv Guilmain 2004-07-06 ch 1, | abuseIt's very dificult for me to write inglish but not to read, so I have read all the trilodge of D&L and it seems wonderful to me. It enchanted to me. As soon as it has time I will read something more than what you write. I liked very many history, the development and the plot. Wonderful work! Thanks for the gift that to read this history suposo me. It enchants Snape to me. |
| Raindog Bride 2004-06-22 ch 12, | abuseI've just finished this series, and if you listen very closely, you can hear the faint nattering sound of my applause. You wrote all of the canonical characters beautifully, your plot was amazing, and your OC a believable and fantastic woman. I'm defineately adding you to my favorites, this was a glorious ride and I enjoyed every minute. Cauldren boxers. *snerk* |
