1. Kaddar has gift- its not very powerful, but he uses it to help plants grow etc. I think its grey in colour or something.

2. A Mary Sue is a girl. She's beautiful, talented, and alwasy gets the guy. Mary Sues don't have any flaws, as such. Most can speak several different languages, have special powers etc. Generally defined as perfect. Most readers (generally girls such as myself, for some reason) hate their guts.

Could you PLEASE update? This is really good - but it hasn't been touched for three years!

Mary Sues are reader-obnoxious, perfect (angelic, magnificently beautiful, wussy or super-heroic to the point of impossibility) heroines whom one should stay away from at all costs. Dreadful really - you can spot one of them a mile away...

You know, you're right, no one writes about scanran! It's such an intersting place! And carthak is always fabulous. Emperor Mage is like my favorite of all the books! And I don't remember if this is one of your 'on hold' stories, but its way too good to be on hold, so you should totally start it again. Then again, its been 2 years *gasp* which is supremely shocking. SO if you forgot the plot, just make up another! I wanna know what happens to her!

Good stuff this. I love the songs, it's like Tolkien, I've keep wanting to do that with my fics but my poetry is, um, well...
I have only one real grump, Why is the wife of the head servant, and one of the head servants herself waiting on some insignificant newcomer? That seems kinda weired to me. Oh, one more, isn't Kaddar really anti-cruel? I didn't think he was the kind of guy to just have someone killed because he thinks they might have violated someone... Oh well, the whole plot is really very intriguing, what with all this weired magic and so on. Lemmie think up something good for a plot idea and I'll let you know. I tryed the whole "pole the masses" on my last fic and the entire thing fell flat, but I wish you more luck!

Oh! PRETTY! I loved this chapter, the singing and the dancing. Your songs were awesome, too. And Nam--love him already! Selenay is still a slightly confusing character, and rightfully so. Lovely work!

Oh, and your questions--I LOVE you charries, I don't think there should be anybody else new for a while though. And Kaddar has the Gift, but it's very small. And a Mary Sue--that's the sort of person everyone in the story loves, who can't fail, has no major faults, etc. If someone told you Selenay was a Mary Sue, well, they should be thoroughly bashed! I love Selenay!

A Mary Sue is a character in a story, usually the main character, that is perfect, meaning she has many unusual talents, can usually fight and win, is staggeringly beautiful, falls in love with every eligible male imaginable, etc. The list goes on. But don't worry, Selenay isn't a Mary Sue. People would have told you by now if she was.

Anyway, keep writing. Your story's really good!
