Damn. What is it with readers at this site? I have seen the most ridiculous drivel get dozens (if not hundreds) of reviews, while gems like this go relatively unnoticed...
This is very good, a well-written and insightful characterization. I have not read very many fics that were sympathetic to Peter, so this is new to me to see this side of him; the side that can be vulnerable and unappreciated.
