What is the use in writing an AU if you don't do something to change it. You started out well. I am disappointed with your decisions. I feel that under the circumstances you created they are invalid. Harry's life would change.

So Fudge was behind it. This I can believe. But Ms Watson would follow up on it.

Did Severus not talk to Ms Watson? I don't like it that she never gets peace. Someone that would bend wouldn't care that much. And no way would Social Services not find Harry being abused. They would investigate much more thoroughly. I believe you need to find out exactly what they do.

Harry would be better off with Severus than the Dursleys.

Hopefully things will get better. When you write an AU you need to adapt the characters actions to fit the scenario. Snape is in character but you are keeping him blind. He isn't. He didn't have much to do with Harry in the books. Here he lives next door. No matter how private he is he will hear Vernon yelling, see Harry in the garden and other things that don't work. He is intelligent enough to realize things don't add up.

Severus isn't that stupid. He can be blind but given the proximity of his location he will see what is going on.

Good! Somebody is paying attention! Didn't it occur to Ms Watson that Dudley's gang would back up any story he told? Are these people so inept that 'peer pressure' and bullying are something they aren't acquaitained with?

Now I just hope this teacher follows up on the problem. They have access to records.

Good job here! However Severus should recognize fear when he sees it. He may think it is fear of him though but he is a very intelligent man. It won't take him long to see the fear of a hunted creature.

Hopefully Severus will actually see and observe not just look at Harry.

Really good chapter. But where was the schoolyard monitor? There is always at least one teacher on the playground so something like that can't happen.

Realistic beginning. Well written. Very in character. I like it.

Well I see no purpose to this story other than that the wizarding world set up and knowingly used Harry, a little boy, making them all just as bad as Voldemort. Snape was as blind as always and has no idea what child psychology means, let alone that his mission was to get inside the Dursley Household and he never did. He did see what was in front of his eyes making me wonder how he survived as a spy. He is also a man who should never had been a teacher as he lets his prejudices get the better of whatever logic he had. Dumbledore is the worst sort of user there is, while at least Fudge is just plain incompetent.

I was disappointed. You created such an amazing story and then the last chapter ruined it! Why couldn't Snape save Harry!!??!! Why would he leave? Why wouldn't Harry recognize the man who cared for him!!?

You had the chance to write an amazing and original story and i think you threw it away...

Hopefully the sequel won't disappoint.
