You brought the characters into the future with a plausible story line! Even though there is a over century between the Captain's days in the military and Jonathan's, you captured the feeling of timelessness between the generations of military men, a feeling of being "kindred spirits," so to speak. Also, Carolyn's comment of "we" in reference to the Captain helping to raise Jonathan makes the story precious. Yes, definitely "Out of the Captain's Shadow." Thanks for posting.

Now, that was an interesting trip down future lane! :-) Very nice extrapolation on the future of the Muir family. And I really enjoyed the fact that Jonathan turned into a walking refrigerator - he always looked so tiny compared to the Captain, it was fun to see that he was probably one of the very few men Captain Gregg had to look UP to in his adult life :-) A great read, once again!

Another great one-not only all the characters are as real as in the series but but also a right exchiting adventure! History might have been far different if there had been a Jonathan and/or a Captain Gregg around in Tehran in 1979! Great job, Denise!

I loved this story even thought I've never seen the T.V show. It reminded me so much of the book and the movie. Well Done!
