Good fic, nearly made me cry.

"Why?" Gaf demanded through her hacking sobs, pounding the dirt with her fists. "Why did it have to happen?"
But, deep down, she knew the answer. It could not have happened any other way. This way, both of them were true to themselves and yet with that twist of angst that will always prevail while life is cruel. But there was one question that would always go unanswered.
"How can I live without a constant stream of quality such as this?"

I know it's a great story when I'm not even that familiar with the characters (for me, Enterprise comes on at a time I can't watch) and I love it. This is very true to the way I comprehend the 'love' versus 'cherish' definition between Humans and Vulcans. Nice!
