So cute! I loved Alfred being so human in the beginning. I can totally see why he might resent Dick. This one too is going in my c2 archive.

One thing that's always struck me about Batman and Robin is how it showcases the common parental theme of giving your kids what you never had. None of the three Robins had normal parents (well, one version of Tim Drake, but his mother died) and Bruce tried to do what Alfred did for him and help them be superheros. But in some incarnations, Bruce never really got that they needed a father/older brother type figure, too.

Then again, that's what fanfic is for - to fill in those plot holes. :)

Yet another fantastic fic, Syl. The Alfredbit was very well thought out. At first i was all like "What? Alfie LOVES kids?" but he had a good reason (sort of) to not like Dick at first. Either way, great job.

Like you I found the characters in Robin Annual #4 very poorly portrayed. Typical DC never let continuity spoil a story. It is a good job Fan Fiction authors like yourself can do a better job. Thank you for putting DC right.

Loved the parts with Romeo and Juliet! "Would you gentlemen care for some rabbit?" I loved the banter between Dick and Alfred. I'd have paid big money to see the look on Alfred's face when Dick showed him his game! Priceless! As usual, you had me laughing. Thanks!
