Definitely the best Bren/Shal fanfic I have come across. I hated the 3rd Season of X, and I am glad you did not make Lexa out to be a good guy (or a bad guy), just a pathetic replacement for Emma. I know there is a small group of us who like to think of X ending at season 2, but some people focus too heavily on the fact that avi/producers never strictly defined any of the main characters sexuality. After reading some of the Shal/Emma fanfic (not out of interest, but more out of curiousity as what they were using for a basis of this idea), I rewatched some of season 2, and I could bits and pieces of what could be constrewed as intimate emotions between Shal and Emma. Anyways, thank you for writing something B/S that is totally worth reading!

Ok this chapter ended it perfectly with all sorts of cuteness.

I would like to say that you are and always will be the queen of witty comments. I mean on the show they have a whole crew of writers working on the witty comments and you do a better job all by yourself.

I really loved this story

I love the way you really let Shalimar’s wild side out in this chapter. I love it how she can be so possessive and Jealous right after being so sweet and comforted by Brennan.

I liked Shalimar’s last thought of this chapter. “Mine” I think if I had to choose one thing from the whole story that best described it. It would have to be that one simple thought.

I Like Brennan’s last thought too. I could definitely hint towards things to come. He He He.

Ok! There is a very important thing that I need to ask and it’s more about my writing than yours. I would like to ask permission to use the idea that the governors would hurt a feral all the time. I will put your name in a disclaimer and everything. I just have a spot in my story where it would help a lot.

And Back in chapter three. You had them both leaning against a wall. I was wondering if I could also have your permission to have them do the same thing in another fic that I plan on writing when I’ve finished the ones I have on the go right now.
Now for the actual review of the chapter.

This chapter was amazing. I loved it how Brennan once he thought that Shalimar was dead, went into sort of a trance. It was like I could actually see him fighting. It like if you were watching the show you would expect the sequence to be in slow motion.

Also their reunion. Sniff sniff.

“But one thing remained constant in my mind—you.” I am not the type of person to cry. Sure I get close sometimes, but this time there was at least one tear when I read this statement.

I have many questions

-How did Brennan know where she was?
-Is it like some sort of psychic link or something?
-If so, why is it not mentioned later on in the story let alone in the next ones in the series?
-Unless you did mention it and I forgot. Then I would just feel like an ** wouldn’t I?

The first time I read the end of this chapter. I was so confused. For a split second. I thought Shalimar was really dead, but then the logic turned on and I was like, “No. nobody in their right mind would actually kill her at this point.”

Good job at faking us out though.

Poor Brennan, and poor Shalimar. You just love to torture them don’t you? If I was going to comment on everything good in this chapter I would have to comment on every word.

We all know that could take forever, so instead, I will just stick with a solid. “You Rock Beyond All Belief.” Or YRBAB for Short.

Why do you have to torture us like that. They get so close and then Jesse and Lexa call them. I love it, but its just so sad.

The plot really starts to pick up in this chapter. I love the way you have Brennan putting his hand through the wall.

And now poor Shalimar is captured what will she ever do?

-“Damn feral hearing,”
“I heard that,”

I forced my little brother to watch one of my favorite episodes from S2 (Understudy.) and there’s one point where Adam says “Ferals” as Shalimar is leaving the room and then we hear her say. “I heard that.” We now have a Joke that if one of us is mad at the other one. They’ll sigh and say “Ferals” and the other will say “I heard that.” I find it lightens the mood and keeps us from getting to upset with eachother. (you know how siblings can be) when I read this comment, I felt kind of bad because he and I had gotten into a fight and hadn’t done our joke.

I also loved how he was willing to take more than one bite of her soup. Awe.

-“We’ve been a bit distracted the past few days with Brennan’s rash.”
“Ah, more than I wanted to know,” (This is me laughing very very very hard)

And you still remain the Queen of Witty Comments

Most of my favorite things in this chapter were dialogue. You are the queen of witty comments.

-The running gag of “Newlyweds”
-“ Be still my beating heart”
-“ Sorry. just trying to see if went further, ah, down” “Damn. I wish it did”
-“Down boy.”

All of them were great.

I Love the whole, I’ll never really leave thing. It was so touching.

The rest of the chapter was funny, a good reprieve from all the tear worthy moments in the last couple chapters.

The first couple paragraphs were so sweet. I thought I was going to cry. Her falling asleep where he had been sleeping for like three days with his t-shirt, it was just so cute. You’d think maybe she’d tell him after that why she’s so mad at him, but no.

There are so many great things I could comment on in this chapter. But if I did, it would take forever to finish reviewing this story, and then where would we be?

The whole chapter had me near tears.

I feel so sorry for Shalimar. She’s having so many mixed emotions and even though she’s angry with him, she still feels for him. Sniff sniff.

-I liked the part where she was watching the Martin’s dance. And how their so devoted to eachother. If only Shal could realize that Brennan loves her just as much as she loves him. Then maybe the two of them could grow old together and dance the polka.

-The way Brennan takes advantage of the cover is great. I liked the honey bunch poopycakes thing. It was funny.

-The sort of fight they have was so sad. Not like I don’t love it, but why do you have to torture them like this?

-I like how they both lean against the wall, it’s kind of a cliché but what can you do, it just so sweet. Even though if I was going to write it, I would have them leaning on either side of the door. Actually I think I might put that into a fic at some point in time.

Ok I Really loved this chapter. When they had the cereal fight. When I first read it, I was eating a MR. Noodle sort of thing and I nearly spat it all over the keyboard, I was laughing so hard.

-I like it that you keep us in the dark the whole time as to why Shal is angry at Brennan. Of course the first time I read it, I hadn’t seen Wages of Sin but I think if I had seen it I might have been able to guess.

-Shalimar is really really upset with him, I think it’s a little bit over the top for what he did, but it works for the story. I love it when they’re jealous

-Last but not least. Using her Toothbrush. (Where did you come up with that?) Plus EW!
