| Wicked R 2007-10-12 ch 1, | abuseI can see how you're inside Sands head. |
| circenikos 2005-11-01 ch 1, | abuseI love that El give Sands the choice in the end, and that it's implied that if he chooses to live then he chooses redemption. |
| DeppDRACOmaniac 2005-02-14 ch 1, | abuseGreat job I love the way you made this story! Great discriptions to! |
| Bainpeth 2004-11-06 ch 1, | abuseYou have a great style, and I love your choice of subject matter. The more Sands and El, the better. I love your almost film noir take on this. Very well done. And are you a nurse? Most people don't know about orientation and hypovolemic shock. Overall this is a keeper. |
| The Phantom 2004-10-12 ch 1, | abuseMagnificent. You took a broken man and gave him a voice. This was... this was poetry. Absolutely beautiful. - Bravo. - ~ Phantom |
| Lady Dreamgirl 2004-02-01 ch 1, | abuseCoolio! |
| Ivy 2003-11-05 ch 1, anon. | abuseInteresting. I liked the interaction and the characters were true to cannon. Poor Sands, you kind of feel sorry for the bastard! |
| Erinya 2003-11-05 ch 1, | abuseOOh, I liked that. There aren't a lot of writers around who can write from Sands' POV and make it sound authentic. A lot of great insights into his character. Also, I love your use of language, and your imagery...the way Sands sees false lights was fascinating, like phantom limbs on amputees...and I liked the observation that Sands doesn't know the man "who would shoot a cook and save a child" any better than El. Good job! I hope to see more of your work in this category. |
| Hypokritika 2003-11-02 ch 1, | abuseFlawless! ::hugs you:: |
| lynne 2003-10-30 ch 1, anon. | abuseThis is a great ride through Sands' head. I especially love the distinct imagery of each of the three days, and how each one is introduced with its own ominous line...which then contrast so effectively with the normal dawning of the fourth day. I love how so many questions about motivations exist without any clear-cut answers. The moment when Sands realizes that El's utter silence means disorientation for him is a real gut-twister. Hope you've got more stories coming. |
| Beguile 2003-10-30 ch 1, anon. | abuseI loved every minute of it! Excellent work! |
| Aud 2003-10-29 ch 1, anon. | abuseHey yo its me you did a fantastic job as always I look foward to more and there better be more |
| Spoofmaster 2003-10-29 ch 1, | abuseI really like this story. I wish I could offer a more useful review, but I can't. Thank you. |
| sky vehicle 2003-10-29 ch 1, | abuseI read this at LJ, but I'm compelled to read it again. And again. Perfect action/reaction/situation stuff. Did that make sense? I hope so, and even if it didn't, you did it wonderfully. -gypsy |
| Merrie 2003-10-29 ch 1, | abuseThat was really really good!! You've captured our beloved SJ's voice very well. That way lies madness, and he already dances close enough, thankyouverymuch. Lines like that just make this story fun. Is there going to be more? I would love to read more! -Merrie "I kind of saw Agent Sands as this guy who was, ah, a danger to the agency. Obviously some kind of menace, you know, a guy who's probably got at least one or two of three imbalances." -Johnny Depp on his character CIA Agent SJ Sands, Once Upon a Time in Mexico |
