What a terrific story! I'm so glad I found it. It broke my heart when Elliot transferred and Liv got stuck with Mike as a partner. What a pompous jerk! I'm amazed that he lasted as long as he did at SVU, mayor's nephew or not. I loved how Elliot and Olivia's relationship grew during their time apart and I was relieved when Kathy took the news about Elliot's cheating so well. At least she won't be dragging out the inevitable. I'm glad that Mike was reassigned (freakin' incompetent bastard!) but it sucks that Olivia was hurt so badly because of his screw up.

Thanks so much for writing this! It will definitely be finding a new home on my favorites list.

Ok...so I'm browsing around, trying to remember and find some of my favorite old CSI fics when something (I can't even remember what it was!) reminded me of "From Miami to Hell" and I searched for it to read. As I am looking at your story list, the Law and Order: SVU sounds promising...mind you I have never read a fic from this fandom, but I love the show and can't quite decide if I want E/O to happen. You handled my issues with it (they're partners and he's married!) perfectly, so much so that I am convinced if things were to happen this way, I would love it. And of course this fic is years old, and things have changed on the show somewhat...it still works. thanks for the great read!

I loved this story!

Aside from this being an awesome story, there is one thing that stands out that I would like to comment on: Thank you for not making Kathy an evil, jealous witch (I don't know what the rule is for lanuguage in reviews, so I'll keep it clean, but let's just say that's not exactly what I meant). All the stories I've read turn her into this shrew, and it was nice and refreshing that you didn't. I believe you might have mentioned something about a sequel...? ;D

Fantastic writing, I love how you played out the friendship between Elliot and Olivia, and the inevitable relationship. Like others have said, I also like the way you protrayed Kathy, with her realising that the marriage was long gone, but that they still cared about each other. The anger and the hurt were there, but also the acceptance.


I checked out the rest of your stories, and you seem to like many of the same shows I like, but with different people, I'm a Nick/Sara, and Martin/Sam sort of soul. Having said that, your E/O story was so good, I may have to put aside my prejudices and read them!!

Fab. U. Lous. Seriously. Exceptional writing and spot on characterization. I could perfectly picture the actors saying and doing everything in your masterpiece. I've been watching the show for years and I guess I never really noticed that thing between them . . . yeah, okay, I'm dense, shut up. I just recently discovered what an incredible couple Elliot and Olivia really are and have the potential to be. I'm off to find out if you have any other little gems about our dynamic duo. Oh, my God. This was perfect. One of the more realistic E/O fics. And can I kick a certain mayor's nephew's **? I love it all. I also like the fact that you didn't write Kathy as a total **. I've read perfectly good E/O fics and then stopped reading. because the author potrays Kathy as this evil ** from hell. This is perfect. I love it.

I love this story!! It was so different & from all the other E/O stories out there. It was actually refreshing to read. You did an amazing job. Hope you consider writing a sequel. ;)
