add-duck 2003-12-09 . chapter 1This is like my favorite. drabble. EVER! You did such a great job of setting the scene, and introducing Serena's father who we don't know, but feel like we do after reading this short story. Bravo! |
Wooffles 2003-11-09 . chapter 1Heh heh heh. Short, yet very...what's the word I want? Darn, I forget. What I mean is that you've revealed a lot about both characters and setting subliminally and without a lot of words. KUDOS as many people here would say. |
Cirocco 2003-11-06 . chapter 1OK, this is weird... I reviewed this about ten days ago. And yet my review is nowhere to be found. Hm.
Oh well. I really, really like this :) You say so much with so few words, setting up the whole snobby upper-class passive-aggressive dad dynamic so well. Poor Elizabeth!
And You Go Girl, for skillfully cutting right back ;) |
Cyberperson 2003-11-05 . chapter 1Ha ha! Once again, brilliant work! |
BlueAngel8341 2003-11-04 . chapter 1Yes, this is so true to life...gotta love family get togethers. I never really saw Elizabeth and Serena as a potential couple. I'm a big Elizabeth/Mike Logan shipper. But it's all good Elizabeth and Serena can work too. |
Imzadi 2003-11-03 . chapter 1I'm sorry if I'm out of step with any other readers/reviewers, but I can sympathize with Serena's father. His beautiful, very intelligent, very well-educated daughter has brought home a woman instead of a man. He wants her to marry and have children eventually, and I'm sure he honestly believes that this is not the true path to happiness for Serena. Of course he's not happy. Yes, Elizabeth's reply was perfect, though. |
Kittenmommy 2003-11-01 . chapter 1Beautiful!! So neat, so succinct. Just perfect. "Touche" indeed!
And aren't those little family gatherings always so pleasant?? LOL! |
Aurorablue 2003-11-01 . chapter 1Interesting little story...I liked the way Elizabeth spoke up to "Mr. Sotheryln", but sorry, I still would like to see Lennie and Elizabeth as a couple!! |
Jennifer James 2003-10-31 . chapter 1Don't you just love family get together's? Your brevity speaks volumes. Wonderful, as always. |
cityslicker42 2003-10-31 . chapter 1Touche' is great. It's qucik, deep, and pointed. |
