Babe-ette 8/18/05 . chapter 1that was wonderfully written and i love the way you write it is the kind of thing i love to read because it is totally unexplained and you need to be able to get it on your own. And it totally makes sence in a wierd sort of way. |
 twinklerbell23 7/28/05 . chapter 1I liked it.
Draco's emotions are like his prayers. He pleads for release, release from the consistent agony of indecision. Hermione is his Savior, but totally untouchable because he, the Devil, would have to acknowledge the light and give up his expectations of his coming power. Draco, however, is destined for darkness and only when shielded away from Hermione's light will he truly be at home. But with Hermione, he realizes pure joy and happiness, untouched and untainted by the dark desires of human nature. She is pure. But he has touched her, and she is innocent no longer.
Agh, I don't know. But that's the beauty of Hermione and Draco. You just don't know. |
Me 7/22/05 . chapter 1 I doubt what I am about to say is the true meaning of the title and the story you wrote. But it's worth a try!
Having parents and friends of his parents make him become a Death eater and take on all the responsibilities have made Draco Malfoy lost. he is lost to the world around him. he cannot see the goodness of people and life and what he cannot see he cannot understand. Hermione Granger, although he cannot understand, seems to to him as the one thing that he can never have. Not simply because it is against the 'rules" but because it is physically and simply not possible. It just can't happen!
In Draco's world it is his mind that controlls his life and controlls himself. he is trapped by the Devil in the doorless, windowless, black room of his mind.
Seeing hermione, she is what he needs so desperatly. He believes her to be his key. The key to the door that does not exist. The key to his mind. Draco's subconcious takes over his life and he now believes what he craves and needs the most to exist. To be with him. Hermione is now with him and will always be with him, loving him. This is what he now believes.
He can feel her, see her, touch her and have her. Yet there are points in time when he realizes this life he has created in his mind does not exist, and that in reality he is in the control of the Devil and of all the evil of his subcontious mind.
Although Drcao knows that the life he has created of him and Hermione is not real, he likes it more and preffers it, therefore he prays to stay in that world, that fantasy, and in that state of mind.
I don't know if any of it made sensce...but that's how I saw it! |
Callisto Callispi 8/28/04 . chapter 1Okay. Let me take a crack at this.
Draco's the "devil" in the sense of the title, seeing as how he will be joining with the death eaters - if he already isn't one - which makes him a part of an organization which is recognized as the epitome of evil, in a sense, of this fiction, thus he is A "devil," not THE "devil." Now, Hermione, on the other hand, is portrayed as a fallen angel - as well as Draco - because they both fell from Good, which in this case is the opposite side of the death eaters. And who better to be an angel since she is a muggle-born, after all. However, she is the fallen angel because she is in love with the MORE fallen angel, Draco.
Now, I think the prayer part of this is Draco's innermost feelings. He has been born to become a death eater. But he does not wish to join, mainly because then he will lose Hermione due to his betrayal. And that is as bad as death for him. But if he doesn't join with the death eaters and tries to remain with Hermione, then he is as good as dead as well, as you have portrayed in the dream. "Avada Kedavra."
Okay. So, the prayer. Draco is praying, begging, pleading for a way to escape his either this-or-that, no-win fate. But his prayers aren't answered, according to his dream. He was in that black room with no way in or out. And though he runs, the death eaters catch up with him. And they kill him, just as he reaches Hermione. But the thing is that though he beseeches Hermione to save him, she is unable to even protect him from death. And devils don't get their prayers answered very often, after all.
Arg. Well, the preceeding was a doozy of an explanation. I hope I got some aspects of this fictions correct so I don't make a complete fool of myself. I'm not exceptionally bright regarding riddles. :) This story was beautiful, by the way. Exceptionally beautiful. I think it was one of the most deepest pieces I have ever read. Amazing work. You should become a professional author (if you already aren't one). Seriously!

In Dreams 6/26/04 . chapter 1Wonderful.. so dark and terrorizing..
I do think I'm going to add you to my favourite authors list.. a very rare thing, as only two other authors have managed to end up there out of everything I've read. I love the air of mystery to all your pieces. |

Devil's Eye 12/20/03 . chapter 1'And she let go.' That last line, is it suppose to mean something. There was somthing about betrayal in her eyes during the dream. Does it mean that Draco was dreaming of her betrayal to him just before it happens? |
