That was so lovely. I especially liked the "I'm sure Tom Paris knows it... which means everyone knows it" comment. Sad and sweet, but with hope. Those last couple of paragraphs are beautifully eloquent, particularly that last line.

You're right, there are no 'snugglebunnies' in this piece (lol), but it is pretty much how i think 'Chuckles' sees Janeway. It's wonderful, yet harsh in its tone. Great job.
