Absolutely loved it! . . . I loved the portrait you painted of Vaughn's mother . . . Just the perfect mix of mothering (tending to his wounds), chastising (smacking him in the head for putting his feet on her couch) and pain (of having seen too much with Vaughn's father) . . . It was amazing! . . . And Vaughn's response to his mother! . . . Too cute . . . Almost makes me want a son like Vaughn (and I don't even have kids! . . . and most days, my friends'll tell you I don't want them :) . . . So overall, just an amazingly good story . . . I would have loved for there to have been more . . . Like Vaughn's mother answering his phone later, which might have led to Sydney coming over, which would have been so cool to see her reaction to Syd! . . .
Anyway, my point before I got side-tracked was that this is an amazing story . . . Thanks for sharing! . . .

Vaughn... Syds gonna kill you if you don't call her back soon. Like decapitate you. Shes gotta be worried. Does your mother know about her? Great piece of writing. Please write more , just cuz I want syds reaction. The idea amuzes me. Once he is sober... any way between her and his mom he will be taken care of. ( After she verbaly whips him for worrying her...)
