I haven't gotten Soul Reaver 1 or 2 yet (YET!). But I'll keep this in mind when I do. For me I find Kain co-operates nicely if I bribe him with blood and wenches.

Just hurl him in the water a couple times. That'll make him think before he defies you again!

To put it rather bluntly, I'm a very aggressive gamer when it comes to long-winded, impressive, terribly over the top swear-fests when I can't do something.

Basically the first Soul Reaver game was nothing but a long pain in my **! Raziel, all through that game (as well as portions of SR2 and Defiance) was nothing but a little fúck. Trying to remember it now, the entire game was a blur, I forget key plot lines and cut scenes and other stuff because all I think about is the death grip I had on the pad and the horrendous spouts or primal rage at Raziel being the worst platform character I've ever seen (and so on).

I didn't really think I was alone in not being able to control Raziel, but it's good to know that everyone else swears at a collection of computer-generated pixels too.

heres a trick I did when I went to Zephons citadel- he kept slipping on the tower so I went to the highest one grabed a spear and hurled it down and said- You slip up again and I'll throw you off onto that thing faster than you can say Vae Victus! yah damn soul glutton jawless defective blue assed **! same dialog minus the spear and vae victus as when he refused to stop 'Sipping' the sould from one of the humans and ended up killing her-

Intrigueing- similar to what I tend to experiance in SC2- it's like raziel reads my emotions because eh seems to speed up his attacks and dodge speed when im gettin ticked at those damned demons- though this started happening when I forced him into the spectral realm when he kept falling in Janos audrin's ,or how ever the hell you spell his freakishly weird name, Retreat while I was trying to activate the wind triggers- I preaty much let him get fragged after the fifteenth try

Yeah, so it isn't a fanfic story, but it still rocks! I took ages at that bit at the abbey, damn! Perfectly cool with it now though, although he doesn't to pirouettes for me. *pout*

Y'know, it's kinda sad and interesting at the same time. I talk to the characters too, from any game I play, and it does indeed seem to help. Not insults most of the time, mostly encouragement. Ain't that bloody strange? ^^

Holy crap for crap, if that's not the truth... *shakes head* Raz and I often end up going round and round with each other, usually over jumps. But for the most part, we get along, and personally, I believe it's due to the fact that I think he;s the greatest thing since bread came sliced, and he knows it. :-P

Thanks for the review, btw. Believe it or not, I'm actually a half-** professional writer, hence why I don't have a lot of fan-fiction up. I feel bad when I write a fan-fic, because i SHOULD be writing something I can sell...But, crap, it's just so much fun! Ya' know...? Good job. :-)

"Jawless f**k!" Damn, that cracked me up. Haven't laughed that hard in ages, I'm sure. Anyways, there might be something in this theory. I had serious trouble in Defiance with the escape from the Elder God thingie, but I blame that more the camera angles than Raziel or me. I think I died more times there than all the other LoK games collected. Just for the record, Kain is just as, if not more difficult to stear. In BO2, I became seriously ** several times. BO1 was much easier.

So being nice works huh? *chews lip* I'd never considered that aproach. Have you played Defiance yet? There's some pillars pretty close to The Pillars that are darned impossible, seeing as how the camera angle changes halfway through your jump.
I find it interesting that I myself wrote and English essay about Raziel's amazing abilities to jump on pillars and then gracefully slide off of them.
And yes, Rahab's pillars are some of the worst. :P

Whe! funny! but...it's kinda odd. I had that same experiance with Zelda Ocarina of time...

You and Raz work well together but you said you don't work well with Kain. Well To be honest Raz and me have our days but usually we work well but he doesn't like to listen to me durning combat. Hmm. Have to work on that. As for Kain, he and I are invincible. The thing is with the vampire you have to show him the respect he deserves. Or you just have to be just as sadistic as he is. Try addressing him Lord Kain it might help. Good Luck.

Yes- I too have spent time swearing up and down at the blue guy. Most of that time was spent in the Zephonim clan territories... *shudders* ah, memories.

I think now that Raz likes me better because I don't swear at HIM anymore- I swear at the controller. ^_^ Or at the scenery, or the rock that I can't jump up on, or the enemy who just won't freaking DIE...
But I don't swear at Raz. ^_^
