I find my mind can cope with the notion that all these stories take place in the same universe. In an odd way they reflect the uncertainty of life, the reality of change, some of it shattering. The change in Minerva's life here can never be invisibly mended, but it can be repaired, if she is strong enough and has the support you show her friends giving her.
I'm not so sure about Dumbledore's motives for inviting her to be an apprentice (and not too impressed with 'room and board' and minimum wage for a lot of hard work, but she can always see it as part of her penance, I suppose). Obviously there are more fics to come out of that relationship.
Again you add small details that link Minerva of the past to the one we know, the motive of her animagus choice, and you develop further the relationship between Alastor and Arabella. I look forward to more of their story.
I can see I must go and read that story of McTabby's. I've not thought a lot about Minerva before I started reading these linked fics, but you've shown me she can be a most interesting character.

You may be interested to know that Sevie's Gurl wrote a story, the Green Thingy, and it's identical to your Emerald Mark, right down to the same words and everything...if you authorized it, it's cool, but I thought I'd tell ya...keep adding more stories to this series, it's fantastic!
