Adding this to my favorites. It's an excellent essay. I read the books, but I never tied all together all the strings that made up the fabric of Eowyn's character, her nature, why she in the end it was Faramir she loved and not Aragorn. Again, great work, and I hope you keep writing. :)

I've done something of this sort several times, but fortget midway through excatly how convay the ideas that I feel--how to give the fellings to another. you set the whys and hows out in black and white. well done.

Wow, that was a comprehensive and very good arguement...too bad it was more of an essay than a fanfic. Tho, I do like the clarification between the love for Aragorn and the love for Faramir.

Very amazing character analysis. Couldn't have said it better myself. Having only discovered the absolute wonderfulness Eowyn/Faramir, I long to read something that dissect their relatively brief courtship presented by Tolkien in 'The Steward and the King'.
I must say that you've written very convincing arguments on why Eowyn wasn't just settling with Faramir. *shakes head* I can never get Aragorn/Eowyn shippers.

Excellent character analysis of Eowyn, her love for Aragorn, and Faramir's love for her. I enjoyed especially your usage of key lines from the books to illustrate your points. What an interesting point about her lack of response to Aragorn's call to her in the Houses of Healing, only to respond to Eomer later.

What a beautiful defense! You've very neatly presented the case for Éowyn's romantic interest in Faramir—something which I have tried to do in the past and come short on every time, unable to coagulate the proof of it into some cohesive essay like this. You demonstrate a keen awareness of the text in this as well, and you recognize that Éowyn did love Aragorn in some manner, instead of glossing over that entirely as some authors may be prone to do.

Great lecture, Professor! Though I must say that Eowyn is not one of my favorite characters, I must congratulate you on a well-supported arguement. I could take the time to disagree with you, but it would take far too much time, and that(in essence) is the soul of a well-developed arguement. Again, well done!

Wow. I am really impressed. This was a fantastic analysis of Eowyn. She has always been my favorite character in The Lord of the Rings and you really show your understanding of her. I must say that this is one of the better things I have read on Fanfiction.net. There's quite a bit of crap posted, but it's these treasures you sometimes run across that makes it all worthwhile.
