A most excellent story. Now, here's a question. Have you read the War of the Ancients Trilogy? I know that your story takes place prior to the War and the Cataclysm, but it might provide more info on Maeve.

Interesting and unexpected. This is definitely not what I'd expect an origin story for Maiev to be like although, to be honest, I haven't really given her origins too much thought. Your take on Kaldorei civilization is engaging, and the original characters really shine. Rue's comments about Maiev are insightful and, in a sense, prophetic. Good job.

Great writing! Many people won't be pleased with the liberties you've taken, but I applaud you for it. The style is just so...real. Well, I've never been one for finding apt adjectives, so I'll just say good job and keep it going. By the way, have you read The Forgotten Ones? Eternity and I would love to know what you think of it.
