You really have a gift of togetherness and the shared awkwardness they feel. I like the "trick" he used on her, very nice. You captured the moment of two people, flawed and real, experiencing their first intimate moment together.

I loved T3, primarily b/c of John and Kate, so I very much appreciate fics that focus on them and their time in the shelter - especially when they are as well-written as yours. You have a strong command of the characters' voices, and so their dialogue and thoughts are believable and realistic. The detail in your writing is wonderful. Love the chapter titles. And I agree with Kate; John's letter was absolutely beautiful.

I really like this story, you seem to have the character voices down, which for me is a must for reading fanfiction.

I also wanted to have the 'after the bombs fell' story written and toyed with writing one myself, but other fandoms got in the way. I'm so glad someone else did it! I'm looking forward to reading more, here's hoping you post soon!
