I liked this story from chapter 1. Your description is well done, as are the characters (what of them we saw in 4 chapters). Structurally, there were no glaring errors.
I waited impatiently to finish this story for about 4 hours while FFN was down today.
By the looks of how far back the last update was, it appears this story is dead. And that's a real shame. The story could have been extended a good deal, but it was effective for its length, and it couldn't have had more than 3 more chapters in it's future. So many decent stories are never completed.
