FINALLY a good take on Jonathan Kent! You captured him very well, from his mannerisms to his own private thoughts. Besides Clark Jonathan is my favorite character and I wish more would be written about him. Well done!

One of the best I've seen on this topic...
Just one question: Why is Clark's father referred to as "Jon" in this when no one has ever called him that in the series or in the comics?

"I had my orders." Yay! That one sentence says a lot about Jonathan (who we're pretty sure was in the military) and Martha. Go Martha! Now, what IS Clark going to insist on doing next...?
