::Blinks away welling tears:: OMG! I hate Joseph! I thing i'm gonna hafta write a fic with him dying or something to get over this! It's not exactly a secret that I'm a die-hard Romy fan- nor is it a secret that I hate anyone who DARES come between them-- thus, I will paitently wait (forever it would seem)for a sequal- although partially i don't actually want one.

You writing style c'est trés manifiqué! Honestly, your words and how they were written really made feel for the characters, and when it became obvious that Rogue and Remy were NOT to be paired up- it was only the beauty of your marvoulously- written words that spurred me to read on!

A sad agnsty fic I'm not sure i'll ever get over. But one I am certainally glad I read! I salute you!

Nice goin...been a long time since she's been ticked off enough to beat the character to death herself...she usually lets me or her mop do the beating up...(Background: Hows bout a knuckle sandwitch?!) Now, that was a rather depressing ending for an adamant ROMY fan like myself. I can't say that I enjoyed it, but I will say that I really did appreciate it.
I love how you played it out so that Rogue lost her baby. It's a rather horrible thing, but it had to be done because it shows her that her desire for a "normal" life with Joseph could never be obtained. It's given that she chooses Joseph because he can provide her with that stability she craves so much, yet it's evident that she will never love him like she loves Remy. It's as if she's giving up true love for absolutely dependency and stability that Joseph offers her - which, in her own right mind does make sense to rather logical. But, just as everthing seems to fall in place for her, she loses the baby, thus in a way, it's like fate reminding her that life will never be normal, nor will it be perfect for her.
And Remy walking away from her was perfect since he really has no place in her life anymore. It's so sad... but it's about time he moved on like she has.
So excellent story, luv. Bravo to you!

This was...one heck of a fic. The angst was...perfect. It had me ranting to the monitor. And its been sometime since a fic had gotten so riled up to start ranting and raving and waving my arms. (Thankfully no one was around to hear my...colorful language)

The questions which Rogue asks Joseph (Damn I hate that guy even more now *bark and snarls at him*) is she selfish? I would say...a little bit yes. And...maybe a little bit cruel. *snorts* What was wrong in being friends. *slaps head* oh golly gee gosh. nothing's wrong. Except the fact that Remy loves you! UGH! *heads out making exasperating noises and muttering around thick-headed stubborn mutants who want seriously over-rated normal lives*

oo that was so sweet!! im crying !! but in a good way haha anywho loved the story and cant wait to read more of your wonderful works!!

So you agree with me that Rogue and Remy are cute, but inevitably doomed? ;) Sadness, but it had to happen. They're too much alike; each takes what the other needs and they leave each other empty.

A lovely ending. I like angst, but it's easy for it to be overdone. You give just the right balance in this, in that you don't give too much details. What matters are the emotions - everything else we can read between the lines.
So, I'm very pleased with the way it ended - I think it was just the way it should be. The last line was wonderful, a testament to the whole thing; very poignant, but simple. And I loved the reference to 'Gone With the Wind' and the 'white-picket-fence' dream :) Interesting - I don't think that's the type of life Rogue would end up going for, although I think (during the earlier years when she was all petulant about her powers and what-not), she would constantly have thought about whimsical little pleasures like these.
Totally believable, thanks for sharing it with us :)

Finally he left. Very sad, but let Joe try to pick up the peices now that Rogue's little fantasy has already fallen apart. Not like it wasn't going to anyway, but I see nothing between them now.
